Amanda Halterman recently announced the premiere date of 1000-lb Sisters season 7, and I couldn't be more excited. The show is technically about Amy Slaton, 37, and Tammy Slaton, 38, but I'm hoping 44-year-old Amanda gets more screen time this coming season. She's been one of the most entertaining aspects of the show since she made her television debut during 1000-lb Sisters season 4.

The show's last season finished airing just a few months ago, so it was a surprise to learn that 1000-lb Sisters season 7 would premiere on April 15. It may have been announced elsewhere, but the first time I heard about it was when Amanda posted the big day. I can't wait to see how she looks, and I hope she gets more screen time this season.

I think having more of a focus on AManda in season 7 will perspective to her current health struggles.

Amanda's been in hospitals a lot lately. In addition to her two bariatric surgeries, she also had knee surgery during 1000-lb Sisters season 6. Being laid up on her back in recovery made it impossible to lose weight. She only lost 31 pounds after her second bariatric surgery. This was in stark contrast to the incredible results after her first surgery. In January, Amanda posted Instagram photos before and after that 2017 surgery.
