1000-Lb Sisters: "Fill Your Cup First": Tammy Slaton's Latest Inspirational Message To Fans Explained (And How Her Weight Loss Journey Helped)

1000-lb Sisters star Tammy Slaton has changed so much since she made her television debut in 2020. Her recent message to fans is a tribute to how far she's come. The beloved unscripted show follows 38-year-old Tammy and her 37-year-old sister, Amy Slaton, as they pursue their health and fitness transformations. During the show's pilot episode, Amy and Tammy weighed over a thousand combined pounds, but they've since dropped an incredible amount of weight.

The 1000-lb Sisters season 6 stars struggled with weight throughout their whole lives. When the show premiered in 2020, Amy weighed over 400 pounds, and Tammy weighed over 600 pounds. Tammy would ultimately weigh over 725 pounds. After falling sick, Tammy got bariatric surgery and dropped an incredible amount of weight. Since losing weight, Tammy has focused on pursuing her goals and inspiring others to do the same.

How Tammy Slaton Lost 500 Pounds

Duodenal Switch

Weight loss isn't always linear, and Tammy's had her share of ups and downs over the years. With her life on the line, the 1000-lb Sisters season 6 star had a bariatric surgical procedure known as a duodenal switch in July 2022.
