1000-Lb Sisters: The Real Reason Behind Amy Slaton's Social Media Silence (Are Fans Bullying Her Off Instagram?)

1000-lb Sisters star Amy Slaton has been uncharacteristically silent on social media lately, and it may be because of fan bullying. It's been over two weeks since Amy, 37, posted to Instagram, and her last post had many mean comments. Amy has been trying to stay positive, so it's possible that she took a break to put some distance between herself and the bullies.

Amy's no stranger to bullying. She used to weigh over 400 pounds, so she knows what it feels like for people to be cruel to her. Since losing weight, the 1000-lb Sisters season 6 has tried to change her life for the better, so it's probably hard to have to endure mean comments. The worst part is that the cruelty is often coming from her own social media followers.

Amy's Been Focused On Personal Growth

"This Dish Is Fire"

Amy is the youngest of five siblings, so she always gets treated like the baby of the family. After Amy divorced her ex-husband and settled into her new life as a single mother, she decided she'd try to earn her siblings' respect with her culinary skills. She concocted her special recipe. "It's like regular Alfredo, just add chocolate chips," Amy explained.

Amy went on to try other new things, including crafting, but not everyone was impressed.

Amy Posted About An Art Project

"Yes I Did That"

While some of Amy's achievements have been big, some have been small. Amy recently posted an Instagram photo of a small dinosaur head statue she crafted with her own hands. "Yes, I did that," reads Amy's proud quote. Fans of 1000-lb Sisters know that Amy loves all things horror. She even named her sons, Glenn and Gage Halterman, after characters from Pet Cemetery and The Walking Dead.

Amy's followers took to the comment section of her post with criticism. One person wondered if the sculpture was a birthday cake. Many of Amy's social media followers didn't even understand what they were looking at. "What are my eyeballs seeing?" asked one user. "Is this the boys artwork?" The responses were so mean that they may have bullied the 1000-lb Sistersseason 7 star off of Instagram.
