2 Days In Toronto: The Very Best Things To See And Do

I recently spend 2 full days in Toronto and was incredibly surprised by ALL the city has to offer. Adding experiences in the city together with daytrip possibilities, I could easily spend a week in Toronto alone! There is no doubt in my mind that you will have the time of your life in the city. Why? Because there is something for everyone to love!
Now you may ask: Is it possible to see the best of Toronto in just 2 days? And to that I answer: yes and no. With just 2 days in this big city, you will have to prioritise your time around the things you value the most. Is that nature experiences? Museums? Or a quick and effective sightseeing and dinners at atmospheric neighborhoods? My list below has it all, so feel free to choose your preferences below!
The Best Way To Spend 2 Days In Toronto
Join A Guided Tour Of The City
One of the best ways to experience a city with a short amount of time is to join a guided tour, which brings you to all of the highlights! A great example of this is this guided bicycle tour with a local guide, which brings you on a joy ride through all of the best sights in Toronto. Or if you are more interested in interesting insights and culinary experiences, you can join this tour or Torontos Chinatown and Kensington Market!

Have A Feast At St. Lawrence Market
With 2 days in Toronto, you will undoubtably want to stop by the famous St. Lawrence Market. This grand markethall has been the beating heart of the neighborhoods since year 1802 and is still one of the best places to visit in the city. Within St. Lawrence Market you will find everything delicious and fresh in every form you could possibly imagine. Run, don’t walk!

Jump On A Boat To The Summer Paradise Of Toronto Islands
Toronto Islands is a peaceful piece of paradise placed just 15 minutes from the buzzling city. It is one of the best places to seek refuge during humid summer day, and one of the best daytrips for nature lovers and childish hearts. As a matter of fact, I was so impressed by my experience I decided to create an entire post on the topic! On the islands, you will find a ton of outdoor activities, amusement parks, petting zoos, beaches and green areas.

Enjoy The Views Along The Waterfront Promenade
If you have 2 days in Toronto, you will want to head towards the waterfront for some of the most beautiful areas of the city. Along the waterfront promenade you can discover parks, cultural sights, watersports, cruises and stunning views of the waterfront. I personally loved this area, as it felt like it had some distance from the noise and hustle of this busy city.

Explore The Castle Of Casa Loma
One of the most interesting sights in Toronto is undoubtable Casa Loma. This medieval, gothic castle stands in great contrast to the modern city surrounding it. It honestly looks like someone picked it up straight from Europe and placed it in the middle of Toronto! When you buy a ticket, you also gain entrance to several interesting exhibitions, so you can easily spend a couple of hours here.

Enjoy An Atmospheric Evening At The Distillery District
The Distillery District is amongst my top recommendations for those, who only have 2 days in the city. This old part of the city has SO much charm, and is filled with amazing restaurants, atmospheric bars and interesting happenings such as an open air cinama! Also, I recently found out there are several fun activities to do there, that I wish I had known about previously! For example, you can join a fun outdoor escape room, which takes place via app and teaches you something about whiskey along the way… Or you can join a historical walking tour of the Distillery District to get a better feeling for the history of the place. Unfortunately, we didn’t have time to go on our last visit, but it is definitely on my list for next time!

Catch Panoramic Views Of The Skyline From The CN Tower
With just 2 days in Toronto, why not head to one of the biggest sights and most stunning viewpoint there is? The CN Tower has become the very picture of Toronto and offers panoramic views of the entire city from above! It is undoubtably iconic and a experience you won’t remember.

Explore One Of Torontos Many Amazing Museums And Galleries
Toronto is home to some of the most interesting and aestetic museums and galleries in the world. So much so that people even head towards them just to catch a picture from the outside! Amongst some of the most popular is the Royal Ontario Museum, which is pictured below. Another is the Art Gallery Of Ontario, which is highly rated amongst art lovers!

Head To Niagara Falls On An Amazing Daytrip
The very BEST daytrip from Toronto will be to the stunningly breathtaking Niagara Falls. There is honestly no experience like it, and pictures will never do it justice. It is something, that truely has to be experienced. However, with just 2 days in Toronto, this is a real time-stealer. And I definitely recommend doing your research on the city before deciding to spend one of your days here. In my opinion, it is completely worth it, as I value nature experiences much higher than being in the hustle and bustle of a busy city. But with just 2 days, you do have to prioritize around your biggest interests!

There you have it: nine of my favorite things to do and see in the city, that I highly recommend fitting into your itinerary, if you only have 2 or 3 days in Toronto! If you have any questions, be sure to write them below, and I will get back to you as soon as possible.
