MANILA – General aviation operations in Tuguegarao Airport were suspended, and four flights to and from Tuguegarao were canceled amid the inclement weather caused by a low pressure area (LPA), the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) reported on Thursday.

Operations of SkyPasada as well as aviation training schools in the area were likewise suspended.

CAAP said there were 561 passengers affected by the canceled flights: Cebu Pacific 5J 504/505 and Philippine Airlines PR 2014/2015 Manila - Tuguegarao - Manila.

Passengers are advised to coordinate with their respective airlines for further flight information and rebooking concerns, CAAP said.

The LPA, located 95 km. east of Casiguran, Aurora as of 8 a.m., was forecast to bring heavy rainfall in Cagayan.

It has a medium chance of developing into a tropical cyclone in the next 24 hours, according to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration. (PNA)
