90 Day Fiancé: Is Jasmine Pineda The New Angela Deem? (Jasmine's Recent Scandals Have Surpassed Angela's Controversy)
90 Day Fiancé alum Jasmine Pineda is the new Angela Deem, as she has surpassed controversial Angela with her scandals and poor decisions. Jasmine Pineda and her former partner, Gino Palazzolo have been in the franchise since Before the 90 Days season 5, which aired from December 2021 to April 2022. Since then, they appeared in Before the 90 Days season 6, where they got engaged, and then Jasmine came to America in 90 Day Fiancé season 10, in Winter 2023. Jasmine and Gino married in June 2023. Next, the pair appeared in Happily Ever After? season 8.
Jasmine and Gino are currently unpacking their marriage issues in 90 Day: The Last Resort season 2, which filmed between March and April 2024. Angela has an almost identical run between the different 90 Day Fiancé shows and spinoffs as Gino and Jasmine. Angela first appeared in Before the 90 Days season 2 in 2018, and then made her rounds in all the same spinoffs. Both Angela and Jasmine are no longer with their 90 Day Fiancé partners, and both women are highly contentious, but Jasmine is pulling ahead as the villain over Angela, making her the new franchise bellend.
Angela Deem Has Been The 90 Day Fiancé Top Villain
Angela's Made A Huge Impression
Angela has been a polarizing figure in the 90 Day Fiancé franchise for the last seven years, and she has gotten her controversial status through her actions and behavior. Angela met her now-ex-partner, Michael Ilesanmi, on Facebook after Michael DMed her. The pair carried on a virtual relationship before Angela flew to Nigeria in Before the 90 Days season 2 to meet him in person. Angela's jealousy, control, emasculation, verbal abuse, and public beratement and embarrassment of Michael were apparent from the beginning.
Despite the toxic nature of their relationship, Michael proposed, and Angela filed the K-1 visa. However, their visa was denied. Angela then went back to Nigeria, and married Michael in his home country. The two applied for the spousal visa, and waited almost three years for the answer. Michael's visa was approved, and he came to America in December 2023. Shockingly, Michael fled Angela's Hazelhurst, Georgia home in February 2024, and has not looked back. Their relationship lasted seven years in total.
Michael ran away from Angela likely due to Angela's abusive and controlling tendencies, although Angela claimed Michael played the long game and was using her for the visa the entire time. Either way, Angela has not only solidified her villain status through her treatment of Michael but also through her own suspect actions while married via flirting with other men, and also through her volatile behavior towards her friends and 90 Day Fiancé co-stars. While Angela has held her most controversial title for a long time, Jasmine is taking over with her own behavior, actions, and problematic life decisions.
Jasmine Lied About Getting Fired From Her Panama Job
To Make Gino Look Bad
During Jasmine and Gino's initial time together, a woman who used to be Gino's sugar baby messaged Jasmine that Gino had sent her Jasmine's nude photos. Jasmine lost her teaching job around the same time and then spun the narrative to dictate that Gino's ex-sugar baby sent her nudes to her boss, and she was subsequently fired. But that's not what happened (via @therealitytvmess.) Gino recently clarified the situation, indicating that Jasmine purposefully lied to try and make Gino look bad.
"She lost her teaching job in Panama because of a personality conflict with her boss (which I heard her tell me about multiple times) not because of leaked photos as she states. I went to the school with her the day she was layed off."
Whenever Angela came for Michael, it was usually on the back of something Michael did wrong and admitted to. That, or Angela caught Michael in a lie, and it set her off. Jasmine maliciously tried to garner sympathy at Gino's expense for a mistake he made that he owned up to.
Jasmine Allegedly Cheated On Gino With Matt
& Showcased Matt In 90 Day: The Last Resort
Jasmine is showcasing similar tendencies to Angela in her flirtations with other men. Jasmine debuted Matt Branis, her "gym buddy," in 90 Day: The Last Resort season 2. She introduced him as an option to engage intimately with in her endeavor to have an open marriage. This means Jasmine has been emotionally cheating on Gino, and went so far as to give Matt air time during the marriage retreat, which is a very low blow.
But the actual truth is more sinister. Gino alleges that Jasmine cheated on him with Matt, and evidence shows Jasmine left Gino for Matt. Jasmine is now pregnant with Matt's baby, knowing that a baby is something Gino wanted in their marriage. Jasmine has been trying to play the victim in her marriage to Gino to vindicate herself while she's been the one who has been overtly shady.
While Angela has done some outrageous things, like introducing her "crush" to 90 Day viewers, she has not stooped as low as Jasmine in ways that have serious ramifications.
Jasmine Left Her Children Behind In Panama
& Is Now Having A Baby In America
Unlike Angela who has made her family a priority throughout her time in the 90DF franchise, Jasmine has not put her family first.
When Jasmine and Gino met, Jasmine didn't even take care of her kids. She put that responsibility on her mom and her other son's father. Jasmine then left her children behind completely, and is now rubbing a new baby in her family's face. She did not prioritize her existing children in her decision-making, and it's unclear if she's even supporting them at all. Jasmine's main interest is staying in America, and she has not seen her two sons in years.

Is Jasmine More Toxic Than Angela Now?
Jasmine Has More 90 Day Fiancé Air Time Than Angela Now
Jasmine displays the same emasculating, toxic, abusive, and brash behavior traits that Angela does, but Jasmine has taken her actions a step further. Angela has been absent from the franchise since Happily Evere After? season 8, and has been highlighting her ill-feelings towards Michael through social media, leaving room for Jasmine to showcase her villainous ways on the 90 Day Fiancé platform. Jasmine is clearly the new Angela given her personality, current scandals, and penchant for creating problems, and she has even surpassed Angela's status.
90 Day Fiancé airs at 8 p.m. EST on TLC.
