After The Mini Temptation Island Reunion On The Viall Files, Here’s The Current Status Of All The Couples From Season 1
Since Netflix chose not to have a reunion for its uber-successful first season of Temptation Island, Nick Viall jumped on the opportunity to have the four couples on his podcast, The Viall Files, for an unofficial reunion that dropped on Thursday, March 29. Three out of the four couples who participated in the season appeared on the podcast: Ashley Moore and Grant Larsen, Alexa Santamaria and Lino Troisi, and Tayler Byrd and Tyler Breshears. Shanté Glover and Brion Whitley were unable to attend the filming.
The podcast ran for a whopping two-and-a-half hours, and when it was all said and done, many of the couples now have a very different relationship status. Nick Viall and his co-host, wife Natalie Joy, sat down with six out of the eight contestants nearly a year after their season filmed. There's been renewed interest now that Netflix dropped the entire season, so fans are left wondering where the cast is at now that so much time has passed. The couples all appeared to tell their sides of the story and give Tempation Island fans the reunion they wanted.
Brion And Shanté
Brion And Shanté Didn't Attend, But Are Together
Brion and Shanté were one of the most controversial couples to appear on the Temptation Island reboot. They arrived together after being in a relationship for a year, but they struggled with Brion's large sexual appetite and infidelity. Their time on the island didn't make Shanté feel any more secure, since Brion had a sexual encounter with two women on the island, which Shanté was forced to reconcile with.

Ultimately, Brion and Shanté chose to leave the island together, which left fans rolling their eyes. How Shanté could look past his humiliation on a national scale and remain with him seemed impossible, but she did. While they didn't attend The Viall Files mini-reunion due to "work commitments," Brion and Shantéare apparently still together, according to social media. Brion shared a pinned post on March 19 thanking fans for their support.

Ashley And Grant Are Not Together
Both Ashley and Grant showed up for the mini-reunion ready for battle. They sat across from each other and while they civilly allowed the other to speak their truths, they also clapped back at each other during the episode. Prior to going on Temptation Island, Ashley and Grant's relationship was hanging on by a thread, but they agreed to do the show anyway.
Grant said he wanted to do the show to prove he could be faithful, while Ashley said she wanted to go on for clarity as to whether Grant really could commit to her. Turns out, he couldn't, as he fell for temptress Natalie Cruz. After filming stopped, Grant and Ashley actually did get back together for a few months (Grant cheated on Natalie with Ashley), but Ashley couldn't move past all of Grant's betrayals, and they are currently not together.
Tayler And Tyler
Tayler And Tyler Are Not Together
Like the other couples, Tayler and Tyler also had relationship issues prior to joining Temptation Island. Tayler was supporting Tyler financially as he struggled with his career, which caused tension in their relationship, plus he'd been seen with other women while the two were on some breaks. Tyler formed a connection with a single on the island, Kay Carlson, and he ended up leaving Tayler for Kay. Tyler and Kay left the island together, but didn't stay in a relationship.

On the podcast, Lino addressed fan discourse that the only reason he was faithful to Alexa was because the temptresses on the island weren't interested in Lino, but he said was the one who wasn't pursuing any of the women physically. Lino said he was only looking for friendships and anything else shown was taken out of context. Alexa seemed to buy Lino's side of the story, since she accepted his ring.
