Renato Sanches at Roma
With the Turkish winter transfer window still open, Besiktas are pushing to finalise a deal for Roma midfielder Renato Sanches, reports detail.
The 26-year-old Portuguese midfielder has hardly made an impact in the Italian capital since joining on loan from Paris Saint-Germain last summer, seeing just 227 minutes of action across nine total appearances.
Injuries have severely derailed Renato Sanches’ time at Roma, seeing him remain sidelined since a brief 19-minute appearance against Bologna on December 17. Predictably, he is not expected to remain at the club beyond this season.
As reported by TMW, Besiktas are interested in the idea of signing Renato Sanches on loan for the second half of the season and are working to have his contract with Roma terminated before welcoming him in the coming days.
The Turkish transfer window draws to a close on February 9, putting the pressure on the Istanbul giants to close out the deal quickly. Roma would be happy to send Renato Sanches away and are now waiting for updates.
