Boruto Gets Explosive New Marketing Campaign Teasing the Anime's Return

Boruto: Two Blue Vortexhas been a big step up in quality from the first part, but unfortunately, the sales and popularity seem to be stagnant, with the first week sales of the past 3 volumes only increasing very marginally compared to part 1's sales. However, this seems to be changing as the publisher of the manga is making an effort to garner more attention for the long-awaited time skip.

With the release of volume 4 of Boruto: Two Blue Vortex, fans have noticed a big increase in the amount of marketing material from the official website of Naruto and Boruto, which is rare given how underpromoted the manga has been since it started. However, Boruto: Two Blue Vortex now has its own website, the X account of Boruto made the first chapter free, volume 4 revealed that the manga was the most read on Manga Plus, and a new sleek promotion for the release of volume 4. It seems the publishers are finally ready to bring the exciting time skip to a bigger crowd as its second story arc intensifies.

Boruto Is Getting the Push It Deserves

A Noticeable Increase in Marketing Aims to Bring More Eyeballs to the Product

While sneak peeks one week prior to the chapter release were introduced for the time skip to increase anticipation, it sadly wasn't enough. Selling 60-70K copies in the first week is good, but it simply wasn't enough for a series that succeeded the legendary Naruto series, which is one of the highest-selling manga. Furthermore, the lack of an anime adaptation also plays a part in why the sales aren't high, as a proper adaptation would surely skyrocket the sales or at least improve them.

The recent marketing campaign has been a long time coming, but fans are certainly pleased with the positive developments, particularly the increased interest in the manga among Japanese readers. The official X account for Naruto posted the first chapter for free, which received over a million impressions, making it a significant success. Additionally, leveraging the manga's popularity on Manga Plus is a clever strategy that is sure to attract hesitant readers.

Boruto's Upcoming Anime Will Take the Manga to New Heights

The Upcoming Arcs Are the Story's Best

While the anime is definitely coming back, it won't jump straight into Two Blue Vortex as there is still one arc left to adapt from part 1. Fortunately, the Prophecy Arc is widely considered the series' best and most exciting despite the noticeable drop in action and increase in dialogue. If adapted properly, the twist at the end will no doubt blow up the anime and take it to new heights.

The first part of Boruto's anime did not help much in promoting the manga, mainly because it deviated very frequently from the source material and sometimes did not have the best animation. However, with Studio Pierrot switching to the seasonal format, the chances that the already-confirmed Boruto part 2 anime will increase readers are high. All it needs is great animation, and with the amount of talent that the production has, a seasonal Boruto will surely be the next big thing.
