Daredevil Finally Gets His Comics-Accurate Logo And A New Black Costume In New Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 Set Photos

Daredevil: Born Again season 2 set photos reveal the first good look at Matt Murdock's new black suit, which features the hero's DD logo from the comics. Charlie Cox's Marvel Cinematic Universe hero is doing quite well for himself at the moment. Daredevil: Born Again episode 6 saw Matt put on his suit again, though it was still missing the character's classic comic book logo. After years of fans asking both Netflix and now Marvel Studios for it to happen, the confirmed Daredevil: Born Again season 2 will be responsible for that becoming a reality.

Getty Images (via @_DaredevilShots/Twitter) got the first clear snapshots of Charlie Cox's Daredevil with the black suit in Daredevil: Born Again season 2, confirming he now has the DD logo. Based on how smidges of red appear amid the black of the suit, it is possible that Cox's Daredevil has painted over the costume he was wearing in Daredevil: Born Again season 1. The red DDs contrast nicely with the mostly black suit. Since previous set photos showed Matt Murdock and Karen Page in disguise for season 2, Daredevil using a black suit can add to the stealth.

The MCU Series Seems To Only Be Getting Darker

The new Daredevil: Born Again season 2 set photos really seem to point out that Matt Murdock is trying to be stealthy in the upcoming season of the MCU TV show. In the batch of set photos that saw him with Karen Page, who has yet to return after appearing in the show's premiere, both characters were disguised/undercover. Karen had a red wig, and Matt was wearing the MCU's standard disguise: a hoodie. Whatever happens at the end of season 1, it seems like the heroes will be operating in the shadows after.

Daredevil: Born Again has followed one of the main aspects of Netflix's original Daredevil series. The new MCU show is just as dark as Cox's first time leading a project as Matt Murdock. Thematically, putting Daredevil in the black suit fits that, and season 1 has shown how Matt tried staying in the light, operating only as a lawyer, before realizing that he had to take matters into his own hands to get justice. Based on the new Daredevil: Born Again season 2 set photos with the DDs on Daredevil's suit, Matt seems to be fully embracing his violent side.

The new Daredevil: Born Again season 2 set photos make me very excited about the future of the show. I think the black suit looks great, and as both a fan of Daredevil in the comics and Cox's version of the hero, finally seeing him wear the DDs onscreen is quite the moment. After season 1 has shown that Matt cannot escape his dark nature, I believe the inclusion of the hero's logo will serve to show that he has now finally embraced Daredevil as his identity once and for all, signaling a shift for Daredevil: Born Again.
