Daredevil's MCU Costume Gets A More 'Superhero' Upgrade in Awesome Cosplay
Marvel’s Daredevil has made his brutal return to the live-action space in the MCU’s Daredevil: Born Again series, with the Devil of Hell’s Kitchen getting an upgraded look that brings him closer than ever to his iconic comic book design. In a new cosplay, Daredevil receives a more obvious “superhero” upgrade in the form of a homemade suit that hits the perfect middle ground between his comic book and real-world looks.
A Daredevil redesign recently shared on Instagram, Caleb Weeks (@calebweekss) is a seasoned member of the cosplay community who has tried his hand at embodying over a dozen comic characters hailing from both Marvel and DC Comics and beyond, with each new look topping the last in quality and professionalism.
Previously slipping into the superhero shoes of DC’s Batman, Robin, Nightwing, and Green Lantern, Caleb has also dressed as the X-Men’s Cyclops and Gambit, Daredevil’s nemesis, Bullseye, and even a black and red version of Daredevil’s signature spandex along with a true-to-screen MCU design that would make Charlie Cox jealous.

Technically entering the MCU before his current Disney+ series Daredevil: Born Again premiered (the character’s Netflix series is officially canon at this point), Matt Murdock’s She-Hulk cameo gave him a comic-accurate all-yellow design with the already confirmed second season of Daredevil: Born Again teasing an all-black look that takes cues from a dark period in Daredevil’s career. Getting a refreshed outfit in Daredevil: Born Again, Daredevil is inching closer and closer to a full-blown comic-accurate costume that marries what makes his on-page suit and onscreen design look so great. Luckily for fans, cosplayer Caleb Weeks has bridged that gap perfectly.

Wearing an all-red outfit made with lightly armored padding that gives this cosplay some realistic heft, Caleb’s form-fitting outfit looks as if it walked right off a film set, with Caleb’s streamlined take on Daredevil’s iconic horned helmet expertly blending Daredevil’s existing MCU cowl with a far more comic-accurate one. Adding a high collar and a smoother textured surface to the entirety of the design, it’s Daredevil’s signature “DD” logo etched across his chest as well as two dangerous-looking clubs clenched in both hands that help Caleb pull off an MCU-ready suit that looks even better than the real thing!

Though Daredevil: Born Again has introduced yet another iteration of Matt’s all-red suit, it makes sense that his superhero persona will continue to receive fresh new looks — either subtle or entirely reinvented — as he continues his MCU journey, with the second season of Born Again and Daredevil’s hopeful appearance in Avengers: Doomsday or Avengers: Secret Wars giving Matt Murdock the perfect opportunity to don a costume closer to what Caleb Weeks (@calebweekss) wears here. Regardless of what suit Daredevil utilizes next in his war against crime, there is no shortage of comic book designs that can be used as inspiration.
