Dragon Ball Daima Is Racing Towards Its Finale, But I Think Its Big Wish Has Already Been Figured Out

Warning: Contains spoilers for Dragon Ball Daima episode #18With only two episodes remaining, Dragon Ball Daima's finale is just around the corner, and the anime still has a few big questions that need answering. The most recent episode #18, "Awakening", was defined by the reveal of Daima's own take on the Super Saiyan 4 transformation, and discourse surrounding the form has dominated online spaces. However, the episode also included the anime's biggest cliffhanger yet, when Glorio made a wish upon the Demon Realm Dragon Balls.

Secretly working under Arinsu for the entirety of the series, Glorio was ordered by his employer to use the wish and make her ruler of the Demon Realm. However, after spending an extended period of time with Goku and the rest of Earth's heroes, Glorio hesitated, before making a wish to end the episode. While fans will have to wait until episode #19 to find out what exactly the Demon Realm native wished for, the mystery may or may not be as complicated as it seems.

Glorio's Wish Might May Be More Complex Than It Seems

Upon making his wish on the Demon Realm's Red Porunga, Glorio said the phrase, "Childopp." Though nothing is confirmed until episode #19 arrives, it's clear the phrase is incredibly similar to 'child up'. It can be inferred just by how the phrase sounds that Glorio wished for the present children to grow up, and return to their normal states. The wish would give fans everything they've wanted but missed in Dragon Ball Daima, and also a chance to see the new-look Super Saiyan 4 in its adult glory.

However, some in the ever-growing Dragon Ball fandom believe the wish to be a bit more complex than it seems. Reddit user Pure-Detective-9027 took to the site to share their findings, diving into the Namekian language in order to decode what Glorio said. They found that the wish loosely translated to having the children grow in some way, as well.

Akira Toriyama was notorious for not exactly planning where his story would go from chapter to chapter, so there is a possibility the Namekian language is largely meaningless. However, it would be foolish to doubt the manga master's ability to have whipped up something miraculously complex.

Dragon Ball Daima has been a highly enjoyable fusion of the franchise's adventurous roots and energetic combat. And having the cast return to their adult forms for the climactic final battle would be a perfect finale for the anime. Though Daima has made the most of its action scenes, often featuring some of the best animation the franchise has ever seen, Dragon Ball's action has always been at its best after Goku grew up. Not only will fans be able to potentially experience Super Saiyan 4 on an adult Goku, but also the full power of a potential fusion as well.

Dragon Ball Daima's finale is rapidly approaching, and episode #19 will reveal the nature of Glorio's wish, though it seems the fan base might just have it all figured out. Regardless if big or small, however, Earth's heroes will still have to face-off against the fearsome Gomah, and are sure to have their work cut out for them.
