“Entourage Meets The World And Tone Of Suits”: Suits LA Showrunner & Star Tease Celebrity Cameos For The Entertainment Law Firm
The Suits LA showrunner and one of its stars tease exciting cameos to come in the spinoff series. Suits was originally a USA Network series that ran from 2011 to 2019, and featured a leading cast including Gabriel Macht, Meghan Markle, Patrick J. Adams, Sarah Rafferty, Rick Hoffman, Wendell Pierce, and Gina Torres. Suits had a notable resurgence in 2023 when it became popular on Netflix. Now, a spinoff series called Suits LA, is being released on NBC. The series features Stephen Amell, Bryan Greenberg, Josh McDermitt, and Lex Scott Davis, and is set to premiere on February 23.
Speaking with Entertainment Weekly, showrunner Aaron Korsh and actor Greenberg explain the tone of the series and cameos to come. The pair explain howSuits LA is similar to Entourage, and even has threads of Mad Men. Korsh also teases celebrity guest appearances. He details that "these are entertainment lawyers, so they have entertainment clients." As such, Suits LA will include "real actors playing versions of themselves." Check out the full quotes from Korsh and Greenberg below:
Korsh: These are entertainment lawyers, so they have entertainment clients. And much of the time, those clients will be real actors playing versions of themselves. A large part of the fun of the show is seeing real actors play versions of themselves and give you a peek behind the curtain into what life is like for people struggling to make it in our industry. Sometimes their cases will be silly, and sometimes they'll be serious. Usually, there'll be an emotional component underlying the case.
Greenberg: It's like Entourage. Not like the party stuff of Entourage, but the dealmaking of Entourage meets the world and the tone of Suits. And there's a little Mad Men office politics in there. It's cool.
What This Means For Suits LA
The Series Has Already Cast Some Celebrity Guest Stars
Though Suits LA will focus more on the legal side of things, Entourage was also a showbiz drama. Running from 2004 to 2011, the show focuses on a film star named Vince Chase and his attempt to navigate the LA scene with his close friends and his agent. That show had copious celebrity guest appearances, including stars such as Mark Wahlberg, Larry David, Peter Dinklage, and James Cameron. Some of Suits LA's celebrity guest appearances have already been revealed, including Victoria Justice, Sofia Pernas, Patton Oswalt, and former The Office cast member Brian Baumgartner.

Suits Series Finale Ending Explained & How It Sets Up The L.A. Spinoff
Suits’ series finale showed how much Mike Ross changed Harvey Specter’s life and brought the show full circle in an emotional final episode.
The statement from Korsh suggests that these celebrity guest appearances will be a key facet to the show. As such, there are likely more guest star announcements still to make as Suits LA prepares for its 13-episode season. Stars like Oswalt or Baumgartner will already be a draw for the series, but the more guest stars they can get, the better, as it could drive up viewership numbers for the procedural.

The Variable Tone Will Help The Series
In addition to these star-studded guest appearances, Korsh commented on the show's variable tone. The celebrity cases will be both "silly" and "serious," a choice which is bound to make the show consistently engaging. The tonal variation will also allow a wider variety of guest stars to shine, as the actors with more comedic aptitude can shine in humorous roles, while those who bend towards drama could be just as strong additions to the cast of Suits LA.
