One superfan is making absolutely sure he'll be the first to get a Nintendo Switch 2 when it launches, by lining up two months in advance. The Nintendo Switch 2 is Nintendo's next entry into the console market, promising to deliver a unique next-gen experience for fans with an emphasis on cooperative play and community. One fan is taking this to the extreme by sharing the experience of waiting to buy the Switch 2 by lining up to buy it way earlier than is probably necessary.

YouTuber ChickenDog (spotted by Phyre on Resetera) has already lined up in front of the Nintendo Store in NYC to get his copy of the Switch 2, which launches on June 6. The YouTuber plans to document his wait with daily vlogs featuring special guests until the console releases two months from now.

ChickenDog was inspired to pull off this stunt by Alex CND, who did something similar for the original Nintendo Switch. CND was first in line for the Switch after waiting for a month, chronicling his experience on his YouTube channel. But since this is the Nintendo Switch 2, ChickenDog says it's only right to double the amount of time he waits to two months.

The YouTuber plans to be at the Nintendo store every day from opening to closing, with his friends helping him out by "holding down the fort" while the store is closed. ChickenDog is undaunted by the long time that he'll be spending at the store, with his excitement for the Switch 2 outweighing the length of time he'll be waiting for it. "This is going to be an interesting adventure," he says in the first video of his journey.

Many of the comments express how nostalgic the videos make them, thinking back to where they were when they watched—or even experienced firsthand—Alex CND do the same with the first Switch. Getting to watch someone else embark on this journey is bringing joy to many follower, like Mr_RM05, who writes that they were there back in 2017 with Alex and his crew, and "watching something like this happen again brings me so much joy bro thank you so so much."
