How JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure’s Creator Is Hyping Up Steel Ball Run’s Anime

Hirohiko Araki Is Celebrating Steel Ball Run In A Big Way

JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Steel Ball Run’s anime is finally in development, and series creator Hirohiko Araki is celebrating in a big way. At JoJo Day 2025, the initial announcement of Steel Ball Run’s anime was celebrated with an announcement trailer, a key visual, and key art for Johnny Joestar and Gyro Zeppeli, and going right along with that, JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure creator Hirohiko Araki released new artwork of Johnny and Gyro to celebrate Steel Ball Run’s anime, complete with a congratulatory message and him asking people to enjoy the anime when it comes out.

Manga authors, even Hirohiko Araki, releasing artwork to celebrate anime adaptations of their work is nothing new, but that doesn’t make it any less exciting; the Steel Ball Run anime is something people have been waiting for since the JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure anime first started, and as such, Hirohiko Araki showing support for JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Steel Ball Run does a great job of playing into the years of hype that have been surrounding it. Why JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Steel Ball Run Will Be The Biggest JoJo Anime Yet

Why Everyone Needs To Be Excited About Steel Ball Run

Steel Ball Run is already getting a lot of hype, and it’s easy to see why. While JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure has always had great artwork, Steel Ball Run is often seen as the point when the artwork truly became gorgeous, thanks to the extensive detail and realism put into every chapter. The JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Steel Ball Run anime could make the magnificent artwork of the manga even better through animation, and with how great the teaser visuals look, it’s hopefully already on its way toward that.

The biggest reason Steel Ball Run will be big, however, stems from its writing. Not only is the writing far more serious while still having plenty of levity, but JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Steel Ball Run is often seen as having the best character writing of any installment of JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure, with Johnny Joestar’s arc of becoming a better person one of the biggest highlights of the entire franchise. JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Steel Ball Runhas done a lot to endear itself to fans, and with Hirohiko Araki and others hyping it up, there’s little reason not to be excited.
