Genshin Impact 5.6 Leaks: You Can Pre-Farm Escoffier's Materials, But There's One Item You Need To Be Wary Of
You can already pre-farm Escoffier’s materials before Genshin Impact 5.6 to ensure that you will have most of her required items to quickly take her to level 90 and upgrade her Talents once she is obtained. Escoffier is a new Cryo character arriving with the upcoming patch, as confirmed by developer HoYoverse, but leaks have already revealed some extra details about her. According to the leaks, for example, she will be a 5-star unit who wields a polearm in battle. The leaks about Escoffier’s kit in Genshin Impact 5.6 also show that she will be a sub-DPS and support character.
These leaks mention that Escoffier can summon a construct onto the field, which follows the active character and periodically fires attacks that deal Cryo DMG to the nearby enemies. This should make her a valuable asset in perma-freeze teams, perhaps those led by powerful Hydro DPS characters like Neuvillette and Mualani, since the off-field Cryo application can help keep the Freeze reaction occurring. Based on the leaks, Escoffier could also be a helpful sub-DPS for Wriothesley, provided that their team has Hydro supports like Furina in Genshin Impact to ensure that Freeze occurs even when the DPS leaves the field.
Escoffier's Materials In Genshin Impact 5.6 Have Leaked
One Item Is Said To Arrive With Version 5.6
Before putting Escoffier to good use in team comps with a viable build, players will have to ensure the character is fully maxed out in terms of both level and Talent levels. To do so, they will need to farm a large number of materials, and thanks to leaks, players can pre-farm most of them before Escoffier is released. This, in turn, will allow players to quickly upgrade the character almost as soon as they obtain her. The only issue is that one of the leaked Escoffier materials, as seen on Honey Hunter World, is still absent from Genshin Impact.

Genshin Impact 5.6 Leaks: Ifa's Kit Proves He'll Be An Unreliable Healer For Endgame Content
All the details about Ifa’s kit in Genshin Impact 5.6 have leaked, indicating that he will be a healer in team comps – though his healing may be poor.
All of Escoffier’s materials have leaked. This includes the items used to Ascend her and the materials consumed when leveling up her Talents. While the leak provides the quantity of each material, it is also possible to calculate how much she should consume based on other character releases within the 5-star category. Pre-farming is smart if you want to quickly max out Escoffier, but it’s worth noting that these materials are still subject to change during the Version 5.6 beta tests, which could render some of your farming efforts useless, forcing you to once again farm in Genshin Impact.
Where & How To Pre-Farm Escoffier's Ascension Materials Before Genshin Impact 5.6
The World Boss Material Cannot Be Pre-Farmed
When it comes to Ascension materials, as a Cryo character, it is almost ensured that Escoffier will use Shivada Jade Ascension stones. This is also sustained by the leak and is the least likely material type to change during the beta tests. Shivada Jade stones can be farmed from various bosses, most of which are aligned to Cryo in some way: Cryo Hypostasis, Wayward Hermetic Spiritspeaker, Cryo Regisvine, Lupus Boreas, Childe, and La Signora are all examples of bosses in Genshin Impact that drop Shivada Jade stones. Unfortunately, you can’t optimize farming these with world boss or weekly boss materials.

Every Genshin Impact 5.6 Character Confirmed & Leaked (Phase 1 & Phase 2 Banners)
Genshin Impact 5.6’s character banner lineup may have leaked, hinting at two new characters and promising rerun choices for team comps.
This is because the leak shows that Escofffier uses a special world boss material called Secret Source Airflow Accumulator. According to the leaks, this is a material that drops exclusively from the Secret Source Automaton: Overseer Device, a world boss that is not currently in the game. This means that players will need to wait for the arrival of Version 5.6 to farm this material and fully enable Ascending Escoffier. Luckily, this is the only leaked material that isn’t available, so once the update becomes available, players only need to farm the new world boss in Genshin Impact 5.6.
The leaks about this boss mention that Cryo hits can obstruct its DMG build-up, so using characters like Wriothesley and Ganyu could be a great way of quickly farming it.
The next item on Escoffier’s leaked Ascension material list is a Local Specialty. Beryl Conch can be found exclusively in Fontaine, around the Salacia Plain subregion within the Nation of Hydro. A total of 168 copies are needed, and there are only 105 nodes on the map. Furthermore, Local Specialties take 48 hours to respawn, so the earlier these are farmed, the better. I’d recommend using the official interactive map on HoYoLAB to filter the Beryl Conch locations in Genshin Impact and trace a farming route that could help you optimize your gains.
The last set of materials registered for Escoffier’s Ascension in the leaks is composed of Meshing Gear, Mechanical Spur Gear, and Artificed Dynamic Gear, all of which drop from Clockwork Meka enemies across Fontaine. A large amount of these will be needed because they are also rumored to be consumed in Escoffier’s Talent-leveling process, so you’ll need to farm these Gear materials intensely. You could use the interactive map to filter the Clockwork Meka enemies in Genshin Impact and even challenge Blossom of Wealth activities in Fontaine, as Clockwork Meka enemies could appear in these activities.

Genshin Impact 5.6 Leaks: New Free Event Weapon Explained
A new free event weapon has leaked for Genshin Impact 5.6, and while it may initially seem good, it could be a worse option than some 3-star bows.
Additionally, it’s reported that Escoffier’s full Ascension will cost 420,000 Mora – and based on other 5-star releases, you’ll need an extra 1,637,400 Mora to level her up with Character EXP Materials. As such, I’d once again recommend challenging Blossoms of Wealth in Fontaine to optimize your farming efforts. This way, you can farm Mora (which is also used in large quantities in her Talent-leveling process) and the Gear materials you’ll need.
Where & How To Pre-Farm Escoffier's Talent Materials Before Genshin Impact 5.6
This Is The Most Expensive Process When Upgrading A Character
As was mentioned, Escoffier’s Talent-leveling process will also consume Meshing Gear, Mechanical Spur Gear, and Artificed Dynamic Gear. Aside from farming them directly, you can also purchase a limited amount monthly from Paimon’s Bargains, provided you have the proper resources. Otherwise, just farm them regularly. The leak also says that Escoffier consumes the Justice Talent books. Teachings of Justice, Guide to Justice, and Philosophies of Justice can be farmed from the Pale Forgotten Glory Domain in Fontaine on Tuesdays, Fridays, and Sundays. Because of the silly daily farming limitations in Genshin Impact, these could take a long while to farm.
When it comes to item families, such as the Shivada Jade stones and the Gears, remember to use the Crafting Bench to transform lower-grade items into rarer ones as Escoffier’s needs increase.
The leak mentions that, at higher Talent levels, Escoffier will consume Eroded Horn, an item that drops exclusively from the Lord of Eroded Primal Fire weekly boss challenge. Not many of these are actually needed, but with the fact that the boss can only be challenged once per week and the item is not a guaranteed drop, it could take you a long time to obtain everything necessary. With a Dream Solvent, you can transform other material drops from the Lord of Eroded Primal Fire in Genshin Impact into Eroded Horn.
To top off the character’s Talents and reach level 10, you’ll need Crown of Insight, like any other character. Only three of these are needed. These rare Talent materials can be obtained as rewards from certain limited-time events and reputation systems across the game. Lastly, the leaks show that, like most other characters, Escoffier’s complete Talent-leveling process should consume a total of 4,957,500 Mora in Genshin Impact, so farm the resource accordingly.
