Genoa top scorer Albert Gudmundsson is already attracting plenty of interest ahead of the summer transfer window, but it will likely cost interested teams, including Juventus, Fiorentina, Tottenham and others in the Premier League, at least €35m to lure him away from the Luigi Ferraris stadium.
Gudmundsson, still in his first full season in Serie A, has registered nine goals and two assists from 22 appearances for Genoa, who are currently ranked 12th in the league table.
He had initially joined at the end of the January transfer window in 2022, scoring once before Genoa were relegated to Serie B.
Now, with 14 matches left to go in Serie A in 2023-24, Gudmundsson is just two goals away from equalling his tally in Serie B last season (11).
Fiorentina had made an attempt to bring Gudmundsson to Tuscany at the end of the most recent transfer window, but they were told that it would cost at least €30m.
That price has already gone up slightly, as Genoa’s CEO Andres Blazquez recently explained: “If offers around €35m arrive this summer, we will think about it.”
Calciomercato.com report that Fiorentina remain interested, as do several clubs in the top half of Serie A, including Juventus, Milan and Napoli.
Of the Premier League sides, Tuesday’s report includes both Tottenham and Newcastle, while Aston Villa and West Ham have also been linked over the last few months.
