Hebei accelerates upgrading of fastener industry
Yongnian district of Handan, Hebei province, is home to over 200 large-scale fastener enterprises and was recognized as a national foreign trade transformation and upgrading base for fastener industry.
The district has pursued a technology-driven strategy in recent years to advance the upgrading of the fastener industry and promote high-quality development within industrial clusters.
In 2023, Yongnian's fastener industry cluster produced 6 million tons, taking up 58 percent of the national market. The sector's production value exceeded 42 billion yuan ($5.88 billion), with exports to over 110 countries and regions.
