The acclaimed director of the Chainsaw Mananime, Ryu Nakayama, is embarking on an all-new project that is beyond what fans expected: a video game. The upcoming horror game is called "The Inn,"and will be featured on Roblox, one of the most popular online gaming platforms in the world.
According to an official X post by @TheInnRoblox, the game will allow users to "step into the shadows of a haunted Japanese inn." A brief teaser trailer was posted alongside the announcement, offering fans a first glimpse into the eerie world of the game.

The trailer boasts creepy visuals, offering a first-person perspective of someone walking through an abandoned and haunted Japanese inn. The player explores various rooms and corners of the building, all while attempting to avoid drawing the attention of the spirits lurking in the shadows. If the player explores the inn quietly enough, they may escape safely and win the game, but any sudden movements or loud noises will provoke the spirits and result in an unfortunate outcome. Since Roblox is such a popular platform, this is a fantastic place for Nakayama's work to be appreciated by new audiences.

He even founded his own anime studio recently, in a partnership with Yoyogi Animation Academy and Starry Cube. The studio is named Aurora Animation Studio and was created with the mission of improving working conditions for animators, since toxic workplace environments have been a major issue lately in the anime industry specifically.
