How Strong Battle Beast Really Is In Invincible Season 3
Warning: This article contains SPOILERS for Invincible season 3, episodes 1-4.Battle Beast's return in Invincible season 3 was as bloody and brutal as fans would expect, as he once again showed his frightening strength, creating questions about just how strong the character really is. Season 3's first three episodes focused largely around Mark and his complications on Earth, as his confrontation with Cecil has been a major part of the story, alongside Oliver's attempt to be a hero and Mark and Eve's romance. However, episode 4 finally provided an update on Allen and Omni-Man's imprisonment, as the duo escaped Viltrumite captivity, but not without the help of Battle Beast.
Although Nolan was willing to accept his execution, Allen was determined to save him and freed a bunch of prisoners to help fight against the facility's guards, with Battle Beast proving to be the unintentional ace up his sleeve. After his memorable impact in season 1, the warrior was absent for the following outing, but Invincible season 3 confirmed Battle Beast's return ahead of its release, and it still exceeded expectations. His violent tendencies were back on full display, and the series even hinted that he could be stronger than Omni-Man, making it unclear just how powerful he actually is.
Battle Beast's Secure Cell Is A Clear Sign The Viltrumites Fear Him More Than Omni-Man
The Viltrumites Took Extra Precautions To Ensure Battle Beast Didn't Escape
Despite Allen freeing the Viltrumite prisoners, it wasn't enough to overpower all the guards, prompting him to turn his attention to a secure cell, which contained Battle Beast. Allen was able to release him with relative ease, but the fact Battle Beast was given a special lock-up in the first place is curious. His thirst for battle led to him making a temporary alliance with Allen and his abilities were on full display as he tore through the guards without trouble before happily engaging in battle with a pair of Viltrumites, who he held his own against.
However, while season 3 once again reminded viewers that Battle Beast is one of Invincible's most powerful characters, it never quite explained why he was imprisoned, and more importantly, why he was given a more secure cell. The most obvious answer would be that the Viltrumites feared him even more than they did Allen or Omni-Man. Despite knowing Allen was a special Unopan and that Omni-Man was one of Viltrum's toughest combatants, it was Battle Beast who the guards took extra precautions with to ensure he wouldn't escape, meaning even the franchise's most powerful species are afraid of him.
Battle Beast's Prison Escape Further Proves He's One Of Invincible's Scariest Characters
The Warrior Embraced Each Fight & Was Confident About Taking On A Viltrumite In One-On-One Combat
If the secure cell wasn't enough of a giveaway that Battle Beast was one of the show's scariest fighters, his prison escape certainly was. Season 1 already highlighted what Battle Beast was capable of when he wiped the floor with Mark and the Guardians of the Globe, but season 3, episode 4 reinforced how strong he truly is. Considering the Viltrumites are some of the most fearsome fighters in Invincible, the guards they employed to protect their prisoners are likely much stronger than Battle Beast made them seem, yet he took them out without breaking a sweat.
He killed someone using his teeth, decapitated another with his bare hands, and even threw a corpse so hard that it crushed a guard, showing how few limitations he possesses. Despite Omni-Man being Earth's strongest hero before he left, he never faced off against anyone quite like Battle Beast, who proved he could hold his own against Viltrumites. Battle Beast happily engaged Omni-Man's executioners on his own, and while he did get grounded at one stage, he still seemed to match their strength during the prison escape.
While in space, Battle Beast also dug his claws into one of the Viltrumite's chests before their battle continued without a clear resolution. Still, the fact he is able to go toe-to-toe with one of Invincible's more resilient beings after fighting a bunch of guards is a sign that he is incredibly intimidating, and Battle Beast's willingness to take on any challenger only adds to his menacing aura.
How Strong Battle Beast Is Compared To Other Invincible Characters
Battle Beast May Well Be Invincible's Strongest Character In Season 3
After season 3 offered the perfect demonstration of how powerful Battle Beast is, it's reasonable to assume he is currently one of the show's strongest characters. Although Mark has improved his abilities and the likes of Eve and Oliver have huge potential to be big threats, no one on Earth poses a real challenge to Battle Beast, putting him above the planet's heroes as of now. In addition, the fact he was barely injured against the Viltrumites he fought in episode 4 means he is at least on the same level as an average Viltrumite, but he's likely even stronger.

How he shapes up against Allen or Omni-Man is yet to be seen, but considering Omni-Man faced difficulties fighting Lucan, Vidor, and Thula, it's fair to assume Battle Beast may be the superior fighter. With Allen's true potential still hidden, it's anyone's guess who is the more powerful between him and Battle Beast at this stage, but there are currently no characters who are undeniably stronger than them. Future Viltrumites and the end-game version of Mark may potentially surpass him, but it's safe to say that Battle Beast is without a shadow of a doubt one of Invincible's strongest characters.
