How To Meet People While Travelling Solo

The most important thing to keep in mind, if you want to meet people when you are travelling, is to be approachable. Be open with your body language. Don’t pull your phone out to scroll or pretend to text your friends, if you are feeling socially awkward. Smile to people when they enter the common area – and don’t look away instantly afterwards. Ask someone a simple question during a walking tour. Or make sure to continue the conversation if someone else invites you too. Stick around after the end of a tour or activity, and look for others who do the same.
