I’ve Changed My Mind, The Bachelor Season 29’s Grant Ellis Deceived Everyone, Including Juliana Pasquarosa (He’s Not Who He Says He Is)
The Bachelorseason 29's Grant Ellis spent the season trying to find a way to build a connection, and even though he found Juliana Pasquarosa, I've changed my mind about his time on the show and feel he deceived everyone about who he said he originally was. Throughout The Bachelor season 29, Grant was given the opportunity to share more about himself with Bachelor Nation and the women on his cast. While it was clear that Grant had a lot going on in his own life before Bachelor Nation, he did his best to connect with others on the show.
Grant's difficulties started on The Bachelorette season 21, where he was hopeful he'd fall in love with Jenn Tran throughout the season. While Grant and Jenn's connection didn't come to fruition, it became clear that Grant was going to be one of the front-runners to become the next lead. When it was announced that Grant would become The Bachelor, it was clear that he felt ready to move forward and, Bachelor Nation had hoped, he'd worked on his issues. It seemed possible that Grant had moved forward when he began his Bachelor journey, but eventually his new persona fell apart.
The Bachelor's Grant struggled to be upfront, which was his downfall.
Grant’s Bachelor Performance Was Lackluster
He Struggled With People Pleasing
While Grant was meant to be an emotionally open, available Bachelor like Joey Graziadei, his performance quickly became lackluster during the season. Struggling with a lot of people pleasing behavior, Grant had a very hard time letting go of the women of the season. While he knew there were some people he didn't connect with, Grant struggled to end things with them despite the fact that he wasn't building deep connections. Throughout the season, Grant was either too reserved in his connections, or shared too much with TheBachelor season 28 women, leading them on in a difficult way.
Grant Hid His Feelings & Then Got Irritated When People Made Assumptions
He Frequently Stayed Quiet
Throughout The Bachelor season 29, Grant hid a lot of the things he was feeling for the women on the cast. While he was struggling to communicate his true feelings, Grant was oversharing other pieces of his life, seemingly overcompensating for the inability to create strong bonds. Grant's difficulties with his own behavior stemmed from the tendency he has toward people pleasing, as he never wanted to hurt anyone's feelings during his time on the show.

While Grant was doing everything he could to try and make the women of his cast feel at ease, he was also struggling to keep his genuine feelings at bay. Oversharing throughout the season, Grant made it clear that he was having a tough time holding back when it came to his emotions. While he was reserved when it came to hurting some, he was sharing too much with others. Grant shared with more than one woman that he loved them during filming, but kept his more negative feelings in throughout the season.
Grant Was Deceptive To Everyone This Season, Even Juliana
He Wasn't Always Upfront
Although Grant's time on The Bachelorwasn't always easy, it was clear that he had a hard time moving through the experience and being his authentic self. While Grant seems to be happy with Juliana in the season's aftermath, he's still been struggling to handle Bachelor Nation's backlash against him after the final moments of his season aired. While I know Grant was doing what he could to put his best foot forward, it felt clear that he was deceiving everyone with the way he was acting, including himself. The Bachelor's Grant struggled to be upfront, which was his downfall.
