Fiorentina coach Vincenzo Italiano thanks ultras for their support and insists all strikes must have Andrea Belotti’s attitude.
Il Gallo scored on his Fiorentina debut as a starter on Sunday, contributing to a 5-1 win over Frosinone at the Stadio Franchi.
“We can talk about tactics, but attitude remains key to reaching our targets,” Italiano told Sky Sport Italia.
“We lost it in the final minutes at Lecce, but today, we were clinical. We scored a goal with Il Gallo who deserved it for his great availability. I am happy for him. This must be the attitude of every striker. We must continue with this commitment and attitude.”
Ultras in the Curva Fiesole chanted Italiano’s name in the final minutes.
“We met the ultras yesterday, they always motivate us and give us something positive,” said the coach.
“I appreciate that they did this today. To hear people singing your name is the nicest victory. Fans have always proved their love for the team.”
Fiorentina will return to the pitch on Wednesday in a rescheduled fixture from Week 21 when they were involved in the Supercoppa Final Four.
“We have another game on Wednesday. Bologna have been doing excellent things and we must remain positive,” concluded Italiano.
