Jey Uso Silences His Critics With Epic Promo That Finally Makes His WrestleMania Match With Gunther Must-See

This past Monday, Jey Uso came to the ring for a segment with Gunther ahead of their match at WrestleMania 41 for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship, but without the usual flair and gusto his entrances normally bring. While the crowd was Yeeting and dancing, Jey proceeded to the ring in silence, dismissing his neon-colored outfits: just a man, dressed in all black, hellbent on revenge.

Jey Uso, marred by internet speculation from fans as not doing enough to advance the feud or being "believable" enough to become World Heavyweight Champion. This past week, however, Jey resurrected the Right-Hand Man and integrated that anger into his arsenal and silenced his critics, proving his worthiness for the championship match.

Jey Uso's Fiery Promo Showed His Range

The Right-Hand Man Was Back With Full Force

After the vicious attack by Gunther on Jimmy Uso last week on Monday Night Raw, Jey brought back a level of intensity to his on-screen persona not seen since his time as Roman Reigns' Right-Hand Man. The persona, deeply affected by the abuse from Reigns and the drive to save his family, has returned as Jey works to avenge his brother once again.

A promo filled with explosive rage and focused determination, Jey Uso finally proved why he made it to the top of the WWE mountain, and is more than just an over catchphrase. Not allowing Gunther to have a word throughout the segment, Jey presented what his fans already knew: he's got the guts and the drive to be the champion.

What Facing The Right-Hand Man Means For Gunther

The Ring General Is in for a World of Hurt

As a character who takes great pride in destroying those around him verbally and physically, it's rare to see someone step up to Gunther the way that Jey Uso did on Monday night. Gunther, uttering not a word during the segment, went from a mockingly jovial energy to a more concerned, even afraid reflection, realizing he had finally pushed Jey too far.

The crux of the entire Bloodline story - what made it so good for so long - was the bond of family, and what one brother would do to protect the other in times of crisis. By inserting Jimmy into the story, and allowing him to suffer an absolute beating by the Ring General as Jey cried in agony to save him, Jey now has his why, his reason to take what's most important from the Ring General - the World Heavyweight Championship.

Our Take on Jey Uso's Latest Promo

It's Great To See Everyone Finally on Board

Anyone who's been following Jey Uso's career trajectory since 2020 and his insertion into the Bloodline story knows that he has consistently proven himself to be the key player of the story, the oil that makes the wheel spin. It came as no surprise to Jey's fans that he would deliver in the run-up to the most important moment of his career, but more importantly, it put the brakes on what some fans are calling a lack of substance or fire in his current incarnation.

Jey has become one of the most popular WWE Superstars on the roster, with some claiming his uninspired and flashy catchphrase and crowd dancing are all bark and no substance, in no way worthy of a Royal Rumble win, let alone a championship match at WrestleMania. Jey's grief exuded from his clenched jaw, shaking and seething with righteous anger at the violence inflicted on his brother, and this promo showed the depth of his character, and how far he was willing to go to exact revenge on the ones who hurt his family and, by proxy, him.

Jey Uso is, and always has been, Main Event for a multitude of reasons, but he's now proven again to the fans who may have doubted him that he is still as good as we say he is, and is as worthy a competitor for the Big Gold 2.0 as any other Superstar on the roster. Come WrestleMania 41, Jey hopes to silence the critics for good and vanquish the Ring General once and for all, both for his legacy and his family, and begin a well-deserved and well-earned championship arc, not only the World Heavyweight Champion, but also a Triple Crown Champion and the face of Monday Night Raw.
