Cristiano Ronaldo turned 39 today, and Juventus wished him happy birthday on social media, highlighting that the Portuguese striker was the only one to score over 100 goals in his first three seasons with the Bianconeri.

Ronaldo spent three seasons in Turin from 2018 until 2021, scoring 101 goals in 134 appearances and winning two Serie A titles with the Old Lady.

On Monday, his former club, Juventus, wished him a happy birthday on X, formerly Twitter, saying that the Portuguese striker was the only one to score more than 100 goals for the club in his first three seasons.

Ronaldo was also the highest-paid player in the club’s history, with a €31m-a-year salary. Although many believe the Bianconeri’s financial downfall started with his purchase from Real Madrid, ex-Juve President Andrea Agnelli has said in an interview with the Financial Times that the striker’s time in Turin would have been seen under a different light without the COVID pandemic in 2020.

Juventus left Juventus in the summer of 2021, returning to Manchester United and is currently under contract with Saudi side Al-Nassr.
