New Juventus signing Carlos Alcaraz will land in Turin in the evening, while Adrien Rabiot trained with the rest of the team today and should be fit to face Inter on Sunday.

Juventus made headlines in the last two days of the January transfer window, signing Argentinean midfielder Alcaraz from Southampton on an initial loan deal with an option to buy.

The Argentinean has already undergone medical examinations in London and will land in Turin in the afternoon at around 18:45 GMT, Football Italia understands. The 21-year-old will show up at the J Medical on Friday morning at 7:30 GMT.

His new teammates trained in the afternoon at Continassa and Rabiot regularly worked with the rest of the team. He is expected to be available on Sunday for a key away game against Inter at the Stadio Meazza.

Massimiliano Allegri oversaw the training session after participating in an event in Vinovo on Thursday morning.

The Livorno-born tactician met the coaching staff of Juventus’ youth teams working with young male and female players speaking about the impact of the U23 squad, now called NextGen, which has helped Juventus raise promising talents over the last few years, including Radu Dragusin, Kenan Yildiz and Dean Huijsen.

The event ended with Gianluca Pessotto giving Allegri a present on behalf of those participating in the event. It was a cup with a message: “We’re ever so grateful to you for supporting us in developing our young players.”
