Kevin Bacon's New Prime Video Horror Show Debuts With Rare 100% Rotten Tomatoes Score Ahead Of Release
Kevin Bacon has had a prolific career. He is so well known that his stardom even resulted in the "Six Degrees of Kevin Bacon" game, which challenges players to find the quickest connection between Bacon and other Hollywood actors. One of his most iconic roles was playing Ren in the 1984 movie Footloose, which also became a popular stage musical. He has been nominated for an Emmy for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Miniseries or Movie for playing Michael Strobl in Taking Chance.
Bacon's career spans multiple genres, one of which is horror. Baonc's first horror film was in 1980's Friday the 13th, where he played the role of Jack. This movie would go on to spawn a new horror franchise, and help put Bacon on the map as a genre actor. In 1990 alone, the actor was in two horror movies that have since become iconic entries into the genre: Tremors and Flatliners. In more recent years, his horror work has included parts in MaXXXine and They/Them. Now, Bacon's new horror TV show has received a Rotten Tomatoes score.
The Bondsman's Rotten Tomatoes Score Has Been Revealed
And It's A Strong Debut
The Rotten Tomatoes score has been revealed for The Bondsman. The Prime Video series is a supernatural horror show wherein Bacon plays a bounty hunter named Hub Halloran who is brought back to life after dying and now has to do a different kind of hunting. In addition to Bacon, the show features a leading cast including Jennifer Nettles, Beth Grant, Jolene Purdy, and Maxwell Jenkins. It is set to release its full eight-episode season on Prime Video tomorrow, April 3.
Now, the Rotten Tomatoes score for The Bondsman has been revealed. At the time of writing, the show's Tomatometer sits at a perfect 100%. This score is subject to change as more critics watch it, as there are only 10 reviews compiled at this point. Likewise, The Bondsman has yet to receive an audience score.

The Trailer Looked Promising
After seeing The Bondsman's trailer, I am not entirely surprised by this strong debut. Not only does the show have supernatural elements, but it seems to imbue a sharp sense of dark humor along the way. This makes for a great role for Bacon, giving him a fun role to play. It is also an exciting opportunity for Purdy, who broke out in the first episode of The White Lotus season 1, and gets a chance for a bigger role here. If The Bondsman does as well with audiences as it has with critics, the show could be likely to get a season 2.
