Leaked Genshin Impact Endgame Mode Seems Tough, But I'm All For It
A new endgame mode has leaked for a future Genshin Impact update, and despite how tough the challenge may seem from the information that was shared, I’m sold on its concept, especially when compared to the Spiral Abyss and Imaginarium Theater. The popular action RPG by HoYoverse is currently in Version 5.5, an important update that has brought forth another area in Natlan, Atocpan, which contains the Great Volcan of Tollan and the Collective of Plenty tribe. The patch also introduced Iansan and Varesa in Genshin Impact, both characters who are from the aforementioned tribe.
The current update is now heading into its second half, and within a few weeks, the title should proceed into Version 5.6. The patch hasn’t been formally presented by the developer, but a lot of leaks about it have been shared, thanks to the Version 5.6 beta tests. The leaks have showcased several pieces of key information, such as the gameplay kits for Iansan and Escoffier in Genshin Impact 5.6. While most of the leaks’ attention is dedicated to Version 5.6’s contents, some leaks about future updates are starting to emerge.

"New Abyss" Endgame Mode For Genshin Impact Has Leaked
Players May Need To Use Three Different Team Comps
One of these leaks is pertinent to a new game mode that may arrive in the future. According to information provided by the leaker known as HomDGRat, whose reliability has yet to be proven, the action RPG should receive a new Abyss-like endgame mode in a future update. The leak was shared in a post flagged as “Questionable” on Reddit. The leaker didn’t share when this new content may be added to the game but did mention that it is in a deep testing period within HoYoverse, so it may take a few patches before it arrives in Genshin Impact.

Genshin Impact 5.6: Leaked Character Appearances Could Change The Story Forever
A new Genshin Impact 5.6 leak shows that important characters may appear during the next Archon Quests, and they could come with lore bombs.
The leaker compares the endgame activity to a new version of the Spiral Abyss. They mention that the game mode will feature six floors for players to challenge and that they will have to create three distinct team comps to progress through the activity. According to the leak, all the player’s characters will start with 0 Energy points, meaning all Elemental Bursts will need to be fully charged from the start. Lastly, the leak mentions that players will face world bosses from Genshin Impact within this new endgame mode, which is a huge change from the Spiral Abyss, for example.
Leaked Endgame Mode In Genshin Impact Could Be More Fun Than Spiral Abyss & Imaginarium Theater
The Boss-Centered Activity Could Feel Like A More Balanced Challenge
While the information about the activity is still fairly scarce, with a notable absence of comments about possible buffs and other modifiers that could affect team comps, the rumored endgame mode has the potential to be more fun than the Spiral Abyss and Imaginarium Theater, both of which are endgame activities. More condensed, players will allegedly have to face a gauntlet of world bosses instead of buffed mobs, which is a lot more enticing. Mobs often have more limited moves when compared to bosses in Genshin Impact, so this new structure could offer a more immersive challenge.
World bosses with larger HP pools feel more natural and less tedious to face than mobs with boosted HP pools.
Furthermore, the idea of having to build three different teams seems daunting, but it could actually be a lot of fun, forcing players to think about various team comp strategies within a single activity. This may be a problem for some F2P who don’t own too many characters, but veterans who have a large roster may be able to take full advantage. Of course, for now, these leaks should be taken with a grain of salt – even the leaker mentions that this rumored new endgame mode in Genshin Impact is still subject to change.
