White hair isn't something seen too often in real life. Unless someone dyes their hair, or is in their senior years, most people either have some combination of black, brown, or blonde hair. Anime takes these rules and throws them out the window to great success, especially with white hair. White hair looks great in anime, making a character stand out before the audience even gets to know them.

The best part of characters with white hair is how diverse they are. Characters with pink hair are usually bubbly and light-hearted, red-haired characters are usually fiery and hot-headed, but characters with white hair can be anything. They can be cool, angry, and anything in between, making it one of the best hair colors in the art form. Every time a character with white hair appears on-screen, they're set to make a splash.

Gabimaru the Hollow is the main character of Hell's Paradise: Jigokuraku. In just one season, Hell's Paradise made a spot for itself as an exciting shōnen series filled with interesting characters, fascinating powers, and one of the most exciting new settings just waiting to be explored. The setting of Hell's Paradise might be the highlight of the show. The series it set on the fictional island of Kotaku, also known as Shinsenkyō.

The shogun sent a few expedition teams out to the island in order to retrieve the fabled Elixir of Life. Each team consisted of a powerful death row inmate and an Asaemon samurai set to carry out their execution if the inmates step out of line. Gabimaru the Hollow is one of the inmates, sent on a suicide mission to regain his freedom.

Gabimaru's white hair makes him stand out from the other characters in the series. Not only is his hair color a lot different from both the other inmates and the Asaemon, but his power set matches perfectly. He's one of the strongest characters in the series from the very beginning. Hell's Paradise has one of the best first episodes too, showcasing just how untouchable Gabimaru really is.

7 Kakashi Hatake

Naruto

Kakashi Hatake has one of the darkest backstories in Naruto, and that's saying something. In a world where Itachi had to slaughter his own clan, Naruto was raised as a neglected, feared orphan, and Sasuke had to watch his clan disappear overnight, Kakashi holds his own in terms of sadness. Even though Kakashi is one of the most accomplished ninjas in the Hidden Leaf Village, his own strength could never protect him from the horrors life brought him.

Kakashi has always had white hair and has always looked good with it. Even as a kid, he wore his signature face mask as well, making him look even cooler. While he was a bit hard-headed as a kid, thanks to the hardships he had to endure, he lightened up over the series. Becoming the leader of Team Seven showed Kakashi a side of life he never got to experience as a child. Sasuke, Naruto, and Sakura's antics together brought some much-needed life back to the Copy Cat Ninja.

6 Seishirō Nagi

Blue Lock

To call Seishirō Nagi a natural would be an understatement. It's almost like Nagi was born just to play soccer. In the world of Blue Lock, there aren't many characters as naturally gifted at the sport as Nagi. He's so good, he pulls off moves most other players wouldn't even consider attempting. Thankfully, his friend Reo recognized how good Nagi really was not too long after they met and basically made his friend play the sport.

Blue Lock has quickly become one of the best sports anime of all time, and Nagi is a big reason it has. Each of the characters in Blue Lock stands out for a few distinct reasons. They all have their own play styles, their own strengths and weaknesses, and even their own hair colors. Nagi is the only character in the series with completely white hair, making him stand out right away. Not only is he one of the best players in the series, but even if someone didn't know that, they'd know that he's something different judging based on his hair color alone.

5 Tengen Uzui

Demon Slayer

The former Sound Hashira Tengen Uzui is one of the coolest characters in anime. He's an amazingly powerful Hashira that didn't quit even after getting his hand chopped off. With Tanjiro, Zenitsu, Inosuke, and his wives' help, Uzui and his fellow Demon Slayers were able to take out two of the strongest demons in the series. Tengen Uzui uses noise itself to calculate his moves in battle, moving like a dancer in the middle of some of the fiercest battles in the series.

Not only was Uzui a great Hashira, he's one of the best looking characters in Demon Slayer. He dominates the Entertainment District Arc from his design alone. He's a tall, muscular, broad-shouldered man dripping in jewelry. He also has a wild face tattoo, a great, jeweled hairband, and some of the coolest white hair in anime. Uzui lets his hair down as a trainer, and even then he's a handsome dude. If there's any character in Demon Slayer who could pull off having multiple wives, it's Tengen Uzui.

4 Asta

Black Clover

Asta from Black Clover is one of the most hardworking characters in anime. He doesn't know the meaning of the word quit, and he's more than willing to fly into the most dangerous battles imaginable if it means protecting his friends or the Clover Kingdom. He starts the series as a powerless orphan who didn't even get chosen by a Grimoire initially, before turning into one of the strongest characters in Black Clover.

Asta stands out for a number of reasons. He's shorter than most other characters, becomes incredibly muscular towards the end of the series, and has very nice looking white hair as well. His white hair is a great juxtaposition against his black forms. When he uses the power of Liebe, the Devil attached to his Grimoire and his brother, he turns into Black Asta. He's usually entirely black, except for a few bits of his pure white hair, matching his great design to his phenomenal character in an instant.

Frieren: Beyond Journey's End

Frieren: Beyond Journey's End is one of the best anime series of all time. It quickly became a fan favorite of many, and even reached the coveted #1 spot as the top anime of all time on myanimelist.com, arguably the biggest aggregator of anime rankings in the Western World. It's not hard to see why Frieren is so successful. Even with over 1 million people voting on myanimelist.com, it has an average rating of 9.31/10, unheard of for every other series Frieren competes against.

One of the biggest reasons Frieren is so amazing is because of Frieren herself. The main character is lovable, wise, and a goofball all at the same time. She's one of the few elves in her series and her white hair helps her stand out even more than her giant ears do. The world of Frieren is one of the best-animated worlds around. There is a range of colors in every scene, making each destination pop-out like no other.

Frieren's white hair looks amazing against the variety of backdrops it's set against. Whether she's looking at a field of Himmel's favorite flowers, hanging out in the middle of a stream, or floating in the middle of the air in a massive fight, there aren't many characters that look as good as Frieren does.

2 Satoru Gojo

Satoru Gojo is undeniably one of the most popular characters in anime. He's cool, calm, and collected even in the most stressful situations. It helps that he was born with both the Six Eyes and the Limitless abilities, the first member of the Gojo clan in 400 years to have both. He's one of the strongest characters in the series, and such a threat, the villains will stop their plans before they even begin if they see Gojo on the battlefield.

Gojo is so insanely cool for a few reasons. He's wildly cool, has the most blasé personality of anyone in Jujutsu Kaisen, and is the only character with pure white hair. Like Kakashi Hatake, he also covers part of his face. Instead of covering his mouth like the Sixth Hokage, he covers his bright-blue eyes, making them pop out even more on the rare occasion that he takes his blindfold off. Even with his eyes covered, Gojo can see more than every other character in the series easily.

1 Killua Zoldyck

Hunter x Hunter

Killua Zoldyck, like his best friend Gon, is one of the most unhinged characters around. One moment, he's a normal 12-year-old kid. The next, he has someone's literal heart in his hands, ripping it out without making a sound. At his core, he's a kid who is doing his best despite the insane background he was raised in. He comes from the Zoldyck family, the most notorious assassins in the world of Hunter x Hunter. He still wants to be a normal kid, and thanks to Gon, Leorio, and Kurapika, he might just have a chance.

Killua is the only character in Hunter x Hunter to have jet-white hair at such an early age. His color palette is the perfect compliment to his best buddy Gon as well. Killua is cool with white hair and blue clothes, while Gon is warm with dark hair and green clothes. Their designs match their personalities well too, as Gon is a hot-head who will swing first and ask questions later, while Killua is more likely to figure out all the outcomes of a situation before getting involved.
