During season 13, Myrla garnered mixed reactions from fans as she struggled through a contentious marriage with her former husband, Gil Cuero. From the jump, Lifetime's Myrla was skeptical her marriage with Gil would be viable outside of the reality TV show. Myrla noted that she informed the experts she needed a husband with a head of hair, or she wouldn't be attracted to him. Although most viewers would consider Gil handsome despite his baldness, Myrla wasn't sure of Gil from the moment she saw him at the altar.

While many viewers judged Myrla for being overly critical, others agreed the Leadership Coach simply knew what she wanted. From owning dogs to political takes, Myrla and Gil couldn't agree on most things throughout their brief marriage. Myrla also wanted a luxiourous life with a lot of spending, while Gil wanted a calmer life on a budget. Regardless of their variety of differences, Myrla and Gil agreed to keep their nuptials intact on Decision Day. Sadly, the pair announced they split up during the reunion show. A lack of romantic chemistry is what decidedly broke them up for good.

Fans weren't stunned to learn Myrla's marriage fell apart, but she made some developments in her relationship with fellow Married At First Sight star, Johnny Lam, which turned viewers' heads. At the reunion, Johnny and Myrla confirmed they went on a trip to Mexico together, but since they evaded the cameras post-show, the pair continued to spend quality time together. According to Johnny's Instagram, the pair got close quickly and they spent "Friendsgiving" 2021 and bingo nights together.

Although Myrla never officially confessed to being in a relationship since the end of her marriage with Gil, her frequent get-togethers with Johnny had the Married At First Sight fanbase skeptical of her bond with her co-star.

Johnny got married in 2022, and Myrla also stepped out with a significant other in 2022.

In addition to Johnny, Myrla has shared several photos with her other season 13 close friends, Rachel and Brett. Myrla recently featured Brett in a series of photos announcing the adoption of her new puppy, Porcia Fendi Féria.

While Myrla was averse to Gil's dog in Married At First Sight, the reality star confessed she's embraced her furry friend. Myrla explained, "I’ve had a few dogs before but it’s been a while and I talked about getting a puppy back in April!" On top of spending time with her season 13 cast mates and going for walks with Porcia, the Leadership Coach has been back to her strict fitness regimen.

Outside of her puppy love, Myrla does not appear to be in a relationship anymore. All her posts the last few years have been a without a partner. She seems to be embracing her singleness fully, and does a lot of world travel. From Mexico to France to South Africa, Myrla has been jet-setting the last few years.

Myrla has also fashioned herself something of an influencer since her time on Married at First Sight.

On Instagram, Myrla has 95,500 followers, and she makes content related to working out.

Myrla had an ill-fated run in Married At First Sight, but she has been making up for her negative experience since leaving the experimental dating show.
