Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis is keen to lock down Khvicha Kvaratskhelia to a new long-term contract before the summer, reports detail.
The 22-year-old Georgian winger is still on the same deal he signed when initially arriving from Dinamo Batumi back in July 2022, only earning around €1m net per season. Considering his explosive start to life in Italy, it’s clear that a new deal reflective of his importance is in order.
De Laurentiis recently discussed Kvaratskhelia’s new contract in his tell-all press conference, noting how the winger’s entourage wanted to ‘talk about it at the end of the season’. Napoli already expect to sell star striker Victor Osimhen in the summer, so cannot afford to lose the Georgian too.
As reported by Il Mattino via TMW, despite De Laurentiis’ recent statements, the Napoli president wants to secure a new contract for Kvaratskhelia before the summer transfer window, wanting to avoid any possible risks from abroad.
The Partenopei president will meet with the winger’s entourage before the end of April to discuss the new deal, keen to make the 22-year-old the centre of the project.
