New 2025 Netflix K-Drama Show Casts Major Blackpink Singer In Lead Role
Blackpink’s Jisoo is stepping into an original Netflix K-drama role as the lead in the upcoming Boyfriend on Demand. Set to premiere in 2025, the Netflix K-drama follows an overworked webtoon producer, Seo Mi-rae, who finds an escape from her exhausting work life through a mysterious virtual reality dating program. With her "Monthly Boyfriend" device in hand, Mi-rae meets the countless boyfriends of her dreams whose idealistic dispositions renew her desire for love.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Jisoo has been cast to lead Boyfriend on Demand as Mi-rae. The upcoming K-drama pairs Jisoo with Seo In-guk (Doom at Your Service), who plays Park Kyeong-nam, her webtoon industry rival. Directed by Kim Jung-sik (No Gain No Love), Boyfriend on Demand is set to be a dreamlike whirlwind of heart-fluttering moments and laughter.
