Paradise Season 2 Filming Begins With Behind-The-Scenes Image From Creator
Paradise season 2 has started filming with a behind-the-scenes image shared by the show's creator. Reteaming This Is Us creator Dan Fogelman and star Sterling K. Brown, Hulu's political thriller follows Secret Service agent Xavier Collins as he unravels the mystery behind the assassination of the President, taking place in a vast underground bunker in Colorado three years after a catastrophic event. In addition to Brown in the lead role, Paradise's cast also includes James Marsden as the President alongside Julianne Nicholson, Sarah Shahi, Nicole Brydon Bloom, and more.
Now, announced by a behind-the-scenes image shared by the show's creator Dan Fogelman on X, formerly Twitter, Paradise season 2 has officially started filming. The image is of the show's clapperboard, which lists Glenn Ficarra and John Requa as directors, who helmed four episodes for season 1, and Yasu Tanida as the director of photography, who was the cinematographer for all of season 1's eight episodes. Fogelman captioned the photo, "We’re baaaaaaack." Check out his full post below:
What Paradise Season 2's Filming Start Means For The Show
It's An Incredibly Quick Turnaround
Paradise premiered earlier this year on January 26 and released episodes weekly on Hulu until the season 1 finale aired on March 4. Now, Paradise season 2 has officially started filming later that same month, representing an incredibly quick turnaround for the series, especially during an age when many shows – such as Stranger Things, Euphoria, Rings of Power, House of the Dragon, and The Last of Us – often take years in between seasons. Dan Fogelman's last show, NBC's This Is Us, regularly delivered quick turnaround times, releasing a season every year from 2016 to 2022.

Paradise Review: Sterling K. Brown Delivers A Sensational Performance In Hulu's Entertaining Thriller From This Is Us Creator
The political sci-fi thriller is a great sign for TV this year, though it routinely reveals itself to be better on paper than in practice.
While Paradise season 2's release date has yet to be officially announced, Fogelman previously stated that production was slated to begin in the spring of 2025, with a potential premiere in early 2026. Shooting has started right on schedule, and perhaps even earlier than Fogelman anticipated, since it's still the same month the season 1 finale aired. In turn, season 2 could premiere earlier than Fogelman had originally anticipated, perhaps later this year. Nevertheless, the creator has certainly delivered on his promise of avoiding long delays between seasons.
Our Take On Paradise Season 2's Filming Start
It's Quick Turnaround Should Benefit The Show
Paradise is one of the most popular shows to premiere in 2025 so far, as season 1's three-episode premiere pulled in seven million viewers in its first week. TheParadise season 1 ending contained a shocking revelation regarding the President's assassination, but for this cliffhanger to function properly, the show has to deliver the payoff in a timely manner. Paradise is prepared to do just that, meaning many of season 1's viewers should be tuning into season 2 to see where the twist takes the show next.
