Phasmophobia Reveals New Seasonal Event, Promises It Won't Repeat Previous Event Mistakes

Phasmophobiahas announced a new Cursed Hollow community event to welcome spring with a darker take on cuddly bunnies, mythical jackalope, and terrifying forest spirits. The ghost-identifying horror game from Kinetic Games has kept the community engaged through seasonal events and frequent updtes. The newest upcoming event will make improvements on the way the events play out based on player feedback.

The Cursed Hollow event will begin on April 17, as announced on the Phasmophobia website, and it will bring another seasonal event to the title, focusing on the spirits of spring. As before, the event will give players a chance to work together as a community to complete objectives and unlock rewards. This time, though, Kinetic Games has changed the way some event features work in response to fan feedback to the previous two community events, Crimson Eye and Winter’s Jest.

The Crimson Eye event on last year's Halloween was the game's first try at community events, which was followed up by Winter's Jest in December. The Cursed Hollow will be the game's first seasonal event of 2025, and Kinetic Games is using the opportunity to update the way the team runs events based on fan feedback received from previous iterations. The biggest changes that Cursed Hollow will implement are:

The event will also bring some small big fixes to the main game, which will be listed in the patch notes when the event goes live.

The upcoming update will have players completing objectives, identifying special ghosts and discovering totems around the game's maps, which will be decorated with a forest theme. Activating the totems will summon the Forest Spirit effect, which will either make that playthrough easier or more challenging.

In the coming year, Kinetic Games plan to upgrade the the the journal feature works, introduce a new player customization element, upgrade the Grafton Farmhouse, add a brand-new small map, and even more updates not mentioned on the roadmap. Cursed Hollow will arrive in Phasmophobia on April 17, with exact release times to be announced.
