Pioli on Milan future and Conte rumours: 'We will decide'

Stefano Pioli again shrugs off speculation on Antonio Conte taking his job, but hints there could be a change at Milan. ‘When the opportune moment comes, we will decide.’

The coach confessed in yesterday’s press conference that he was ‘bored’ with the on-going speculation around Conte potentially replacing him next summer.

“I am fully concentrated on the match. Every coach must try to prepare the game in the best possible way and get the players ready for the challenges they face,” Pioli told DAZN.

“There is great respect and admiration between the club and me. When the opportune moment comes, the club will decide, we will decide.

“But right now we are concentrated on what we must do, as there is a long way to go in this season.”

Il Messaggero added to the transfer rumours today by suggesting that Lazio coach Maurizio Sarri could also be in the running for the Milan job.

The Rossoneri had been charging up the table with four wins in a row, but failed to convert two penalties with Olivier Giroud and Theo Hernandez in the dramatic 2-2 draw against Bologna.
