Rafael Leao showed his best version in Milan’s 3-3 draw against Sassuolo, but some Rossoneri players seemed to be focusing on Roma already. Check out player ratings.

Milan

Sportiello 5.5 – He could have done more to avoid Laurienté’s goal in the second half. He touched the ball, but he wasn’t strong enough to keep it off the net.

Florenzi 5.5 – Struggled in the first half, especially when Laurienté scored the second goal for Sassuolo, but the ex-Roma defender improved after the break.

Kjaer 5 – Too slow and often in the wrong position. No surprise he was subbed off early. (55′ Gabbia 6.5)

Thiaw 5 – Another poor performance from the German centre-back. He’ll be suspended against Inter after receiving a yellow card. He seemingly suffered an injury in the final minutes.

Theo Hernandez 6 – Hot and cold again, but Milan did build something interesting from the left, also thanks to his contribution.

Musah 5.5 – Only 82% passing accuracy, but he won three duels from five. (55′ Giroud 6.5)

Adli 5.5 – Not entirely convincing, especially in terms of intensity, but still finished the match with 91% passing accuracy. (82′ Okafor 7)

Chukwueze 6.5 – The Nigeria international was unlucky as he had two goals disallowed. Both times he was inches offside, but Pioli will be happy to see his steady developments. (65′ Pulisic 6.5)

Loftus-Cheek 5.5 – Not as effective as he usually is. Perhaps the focus was already on Roma. (55′ Reijnders 6)

Leao 7.5 – Milan’s most criticised player after Thursday’s loss to Roma reacted with a superb goal and many chances created down the left flank. The Rossoneri need the same version of Leao at the Olimpico next week.

Jovic 6.5 – Scorer of another goal to make it six in 21 Serie A appearances, eight in 26 matches across all competitions.

Coach: Pioli 7 – Substitutes made the difference putting more and more pressure on Sassuolo after a shocking start that had seen the Rossoneri concede twice in the opening ten minutes. Milan have regrets, but it could have ended with a defeat as well. Now they can fully focus on Roma.

Sassuolo: Consigli 6.5; Toljan N/A (9′ Ruan 5.5), Erlic 5.5, Ferrari 5.5, Viti 6; Boloca 6 (77′ Racic 6), Obiang 6, Thorstvedt 7 (62′ Matheus Henrique 6); Volpato 6 (46′ Defrel 7), Laurientè 8 (77′ Ceide 5.5); Pinamonti 7. Coach: Ballardini 6

3 thought on “Player Ratings: Sassuolo 3-3 Milan: Leao reacts, decisive substitutes”

score of FIVE for Simon???? hahahahahhahahahahaha. More like MINUS Five.

  • If this game wasn’t an indicator of the need for defensive depth, i don’t know what else would be… Calabria won’t be much of an upgrade either. We need more quality at RB.

  • haha. They only know to pick on calabria 😂
