Reports from Rome claim Maurizio Sarri could leave Lazio in the summer and take over Stefano Pioli’s job at Milan.

Pressure has continued to mount on Pioli after the Rossoneri’s fairly disappointing first-half of the season, which saw them fall behind in the title race and crash out of the Champions League. The expectation is that the club’s management will make a change in the summer.

Antonio Conte is seemingly Milan’s first choice option to take over from Pioli and he was spotted in the city with his staff this week. RedBird consultant Zlatan Ibrahimovic is said to be ‘annoyed’ by the rumours and publicly backed the Rossoneri coach.

As reported by Il Messaggero via MilanPress, Sarri is starting to have doubts about his future at Lazio and could end up leaving the club in the summer, with Milan deciding to maintain contact with the coach, identifying him as an option to replace Pioli.

The former Napoli coach could also end up replacing Vincenzo Italiano at Fiorentina in the summer, a role he may prefer due to its proximity to his hometown.
