Walter Mazzarri is expected to use a 3-5-2 formation in an away game at Milan who will look to Ismael Bennacer to replace the injured Tijjani Reijnders.

Milan-Napoli kicks off at 19:45 GMT at San Siro on Sunday night and is a key game in the race for the top four in Serie A.

The Rossoneri are without the suspended Reijnders plus the injured Malick Thiaw, Fikayo Tomori, Pierre Kalulu, Mattia Caldara and Tommaso Pobega, while Samuel Chukwueze is on AFCON international duty.

Bennacer will replace Reijnders and Stefano Pioli will confirm Matteo Gabbia and Simon Kjaer in central defence and Olivier Giroud in attack.

Mazzarri will likely bench Matteo Politano, picking a 3-5-2 formation with Giovanni Simeone and Khvicha Kvaratskhelia in attack.

Piotr Zielinski is favourite over Jens Cajuste for a starting spot in central midfield alongside Stanislav Lobotka and André Zambo-Anguissa.

Mario Rui is suspended and Victor Osimhen is on AFCON international duty for the Partenopei.

Milan-Napoli, probable line-ups

Milan (4-2-3-1): Maignan; Calabria, Kjaer, Gabbia, Theo; Adli, Bennacer; Pulisic, Loftus-Cheek, Leao; Giroud.

Napoli (3-5-2): Gollini; Ostigard, Rrahmani, Juan Jesus; Di Lorenzo, Anguissa, Lobotka, Zielinski, Mazzocchi; Kvaratskhelia, Simeone.
