Sorry, Goku: I Found the Strongest Character in Dragon Ball Daima and It's Not You
Warning: Spoilers for Dragon Ball Daima, episode #18 ahead.
Dragon Ball Daima has a new strongest character, and it's not Goku, nor is it his latest opponent, Gomah. Instead, the strongest fighter observed in the Demon Realm is none other than the Eternal Dragon of the Demon Realm's Dragon Balls, the red Porunga.
Throughout the Demon Realm saga so far, Goku has proven to be quite a bit stronger than his opponents, even defeating Tamagami Number Three with relative ease. It wasn't until Gomah got his hands on the Third Eye that he became a threat in equal measure, and Gomah seems to be outperforming Goku in their current fight, turning him all the way from Super Saiyan 4 to his base form using magic. However, when the Eternal Dragon of the Demon Realm was summoned, his power and scale seemed to be unmatched. As Gomah rushed the dragon attempting to prevent it from granting a wish, he was swatted away with ease.
Not Every Eternal Dragon is So Powerful
Eternal Dragons Have Fallen to Villains Before
It might seem obvious that an Eternal Dragon would be more powerful than Goku or Gomah, but this hasn't always been the case in the past. The most infamous incident would have to be King Piccolo's wish to Shenron for youth, after which the demonic Namekian killed Shenron, preventing him from granting any further wishes in the future. This proved that Eternal Dragons could be killed, despite their awesome wish-granting powers, and that this ability didn't necessarily translate to combat potential. Shenron has also been shown to be scared of Beerus, as a God of Destruction who can destroy anything.
The red Porunga summoned by the Demon Realm's Dragon Balls, however, seems to possess some impressive combat potential as well, knocking away Gomah with a single finger when he came in to attack the dragon. It's not quite clear what makes this dragon so different from Shenron, but it could be the fact that it's one of the first Eternal Dragons to be created. Its red coloration is similar to that of Ultimate Shenron, seen in Dragon Ball GT, which also arose from a set of Dragon Balls created earlier than those on Earth and was said to be far more powerful.

Since Gomah was giving Goku a lot of trouble, even in Super Saiyan 4, it's truly impressive that the red Porunga was able to stop the villain with a single finger. While Gomah may be far stronger than the Tamagami that guard the Dragon Balls now, he's still no match for the Eternal Dragon itself, as created by Neva. It makes sense that Neva would set things up this way--he wouldn't want the Supreme Demon King to get the final say on wishes due to the Third Eye, after all.
Even from just a brief confrontation, it's ultimately clear that the red Porungais the most powerful being in Dragon Ball Daima's Demon Realm.
