Star Wars Zero Company Announced, A Clone Wars-Set Video Game From Fallen Order Developer
Electronic Arts' latest Star Wars venture has been revealed as Star Wars Zero Company, a single-player turn-based tactics game set during the Clone Wars. There are several upcoming Star Wars games, many of which are from publishers other than EA now that its exclusive license with Disney has expired. Star Wars Zero Company was technically already known about, albeit without a title or any sort of information prior to this announcement.
The announcement came via the official Star Wars website, and has finally shed light on the debut game from Bit Reactor, a studio formed under the purview of Greg Foertsch, who previously worked on Firaxis Games' XCOM series. Star Wars Zero Company is being developed in collaboration with Respawn Entertainment, whose pedigree in the franchise includes Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order and its sequel, Star Wars Jedi: Survivor. The Zero Company reveal is exceedingly light on details, only offering a single piece of art showcasing six of the characters involved.

All told, the reveal of Star Wars Zero Company is little more than a teaser for upcoming information – likely a trailer. More information on the game is scheduled to arrive at a Star Wars Celebration Japan panel on April 19, 2025, though it will be very early in the morning for North America. The panel is set for 4:30pm Japan Standard Time, which is 3:30am EDT and 12:30am PDT.
According to the Star Wars Celebration panel schedule, Bit Reactor's panel will last one hour, and will feature representatives from Respawn Entertainment and Lucasfilm Games as well. One hour is significant for the reveal of a newly announced game, so it's likely plenty of new information will surface, especially since Star Wars Celebration is a major, three-day event.
Our Take: Star Wars Zero Company Is One To Keep An Eye On
Bit Reactor Is A Promising New Studio
Despite the lack of details, Star Wars Zero Company is an enticing new game, and we're eager to see it in action, whether that be a narrative-focused trailer or actual gameplay. Bit Reactor's website specifically highlights the experience of its developers, including working on XCOM, Sid Meier's Civilization, Gears of War, and The Elder Scrolls Online. These first two franchises are widely acclaimed within their principal genres, tactics and 4X respectively, but even Gears Tactics is an excellent strategy game.
Aside from Bit Reactor's pedigree, though, Star Wars returning to the Clone Wars for a game is especially exciting. The galaxy-spanning conflict which led to the rise of the Galactic Empire has long been a fascinating era for the famed galaxy far, far away, and Star Wars Zero Company seems poised to build on the success of the character-driven, animated Star Wars: The Clone Wars show. Details will likely remain scarce until Star Wars Celebration Japan, but Star Wars Zero Company is already an upcoming game to keep tabs on.
