Temptation Island: How To Watch Past Seasons (There's Been Six Since 2019 With Host Mark L. Walberg)

Keeping track of seasons of Temptation Island is harder than finding lasting love on a reality show, but we're here to help make it a little bit easier for you. The show's concept hasn't changed: Couples who want to be tempted to be sure they're making the right decision in moving forward with their partners sign up to stay on an island filled with tempters and temptresses who are there to, well, tempt them into cheating on their partners. It makes for some very entertaining reality television.

Temptation Island Was Originally On Fox In The Early 2000s

Original Version Was Called 'Creepy-Cheesy' By Critics

The early 2000s were a different time culturally, and the television landscape reflected that. When Fox premiered Temptation Island in January of 2001, it was the start of the new millennium, and many networks were all about pushing boundaries. The original Temptation Island did just that, and some critics (Ken Tucker, the famed Entertainment Weekly television critic, called it, "creepy-cheesy," before giving it a C- score).

Not me, though. I was just a kid, but even I knew good escapist entertainment when I saw it. I remember voraciously watching episodes and specifically remember Mandy Lauderdale, the fiery redhead who came to the island to test her relationship with Billy Cleary, her boyfriend of over a year. Spoiler alert: They failed, but they ended up staying together after the show. It's been over 20 years, and no surprise, according to The Cinemaholic, Mandy and Billy are no more.

Fox ran the original Temptation Island for three seasons until 2003. Today, episodes of the original Temptation Island are very hard to come by. There are clips available on YouTube, but the quality is poor.

Aside from that, the original Y2K version of Temptation Island might exist only in our memories.

Temptation Island Had 5 Seasons On USA Network

USA Network Revived The Show In 2019

Perhaps sensing that the public's appetite for flirty dating reality shows wasn't quite being met, the USA Network announced they were reviving Temptation Island in 2019. It was a sleepy hit, and the network aired five seasons of it until 2023. I wouldn't say the Temptation Island revival was on par with shows like Love Island, but it built up a following.

The Temptation Island revival gave viewers some incredible participants, like season 5's Kaitlin Tufts and Hall Toledano, who had been dating for eight years and were actually engaged when their relationship was put to the test when single Makayla Halstead arrived. Hall ended up leaving Kaitlin for Makayla, and according to social media, Hall and Makayla are still going strong today.

While USA Network no longer airs original episodes of Temptation Island, the episodes are still available to stream on Peacock with a subscription. Other streaming sites include subscription Hulu and YouTube TV. Episodes are also available for individual purchase on YouTube, Amazon, and Apple TV.

Future Temptation Island Seasons Will Be On Netflix

Netflix Picked Up TI In 2025

In early March 2025, Netflix announced it would be picking up Temptation Island. The Netflix version of the show premiered on March 12, but it was filmed in May of 2024 in Hawaii. The show has become an even bigger success, since being available on Netflix opens it up to a much wider audience.
