For season 3, episode 6, this appears to apply to the group in Tanchico, whose search for answers signals the importance of the device Liandrin is trying to make. She's not the only one who wants Rand chained, though, with Elaida (Shohreh Aghdashloo) wanting the White Tower to control him because of his power levels. In the former Red Ajah's case, though, she wants him to do the Dark One's bidding.

Since The Wheel of Time season 3, episode 5 promised a deeper exploration of the city and everything involved, the latest trailer featuring this backstory means plenty of detail will be afforded to the nuanced development of this new conflict.

With three episodes left, it seems the Black Ajah's role is finally going to grow more central, just as Rand steps into his role as the Car'a'carn.
