These Classic Call Of Duty Titles Might Be The Next To Hit Xbox Game Pass
In what appears to be a new leak, it seems there could be some classic Call of Duty titles coming soon to the Xbox Game Pass service. In what was a first for the franchise, Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 launched as a day-one Game Pass Ultimate title last year, and Modern Warfare 3 came to the service just a few months before Black Ops 6's release, despite being out since November 2023. With this apparent leak, it appears Activision and Xbox are reaching back in time to bring moreCoD titles to the popular subscription service.
As spotted by XboxEra, the World War 2 game Call of Duty: World at War and the outer space-focused Infinite Warfare have the label "Included with Game Pass" on the Windows Store search page. World at War also has an "Included with Game Pass" tag when it is searched on the Microsoft Store as well. The games are not currently available for download on Xbox Game Pass, but with these labels, it seems possible that both games are coming to the service sometime soon.
In addition to the Call of Duty games, Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1+2 also has the "Included with Game Pass" label on both stores, so this remake is probably on the way to Game Pass too.

New And Classic Collide On Game Pass
With the two most recent CoD games already on Xbox Game Pass, it seems like the new and classic titles will collide on the popular service and will be made available to an even wider audience than they already were. While nothing has been confirmed for sure, there may be an official announcement regarding Infinite Warfare, World at War, and hopefully others coming to Game Pass at this summer's Xbox Games Showcase.

PlayStation Starts New First-Party Studio Led By Call Of Duty Zombies Veteran
Revealed in a new video, PlayStation has a brand-new first-party studio, Dark Outlaw, spearheaded by former Call of Duty Zombies lead Jason Blundell.
Xbox Game Pass could be the best way to bring all the CoD games together. It's a popular service, and as of February 2024, there are over 34 million Game Pass subscribers. CoD is one of the most popular video game franchises, so it would definitely make sense to get as many CoD titles on the service as possible. In addition to Infinite Warfare and World at War, there are rumors that remasters of Modern Warfare 2 (2009) and Modern Warfare 3 (2011) could be on the way, too.
Our Take: This May Be The Perfect Time To Bring Back Classic Call of Duty
Call of Duty Has A Huge Audience
After the lukewarm reception of Modern Warfare 3 (2023), Black Ops 6 may have the series back on the right track. But even so, a lot of CoD fans feel the series has diverted too much from what made CoD so popular: slower boots-on-the-ground, arcade-y gameplay with an addictive leveling system. Infinite Warfare also received a mixed response from its initial reveal for its futuristic setting and was the game that seemed to be the turning point that divided a lot of the fan base.
Retrospectively, Infinite Warfare and World at War (which had to follow the revolutionary CoD 4) will probably be looked upon more fondly, and with so many game options potentially coming to Game Pass, Call of Duty may be in the best place it ever has been.
