According to Il Corriere dello Sport, Roma striker Romelu Lukaku spoke to Roma players and coach Daniele De Rossi about his poor form admitting that he ‘can do more.’

The Belgian striker has only netted twice in the last eight appearances with the Giallorossi and according to Il Corriere dello Sport he discussed his recent poor performances inside the dressing room at Trigoria after Saturday’s loss to Inter.

Lukaku reportedly told his Roma teammates and coach De Rossi that he “can do more” and the Italian tactician, recently appointed to replace José Mourinho, has no doubts that the Belgian will give his contribution in the second part of the campaign.

According to the report, Lukaku is fully committed to Roma. He trains well at Trigoria and he has an excellent lifestyle off the pitch. ‘He doesn’t go out much. When he does, it’s to have dinner at a restaurant near his home or to walk in the city centre with some friends or with his mum and sons who live with him in Casal Palocco,’ wrote journalist Jacopo Aliprandi.

Roma will play Feyenoord in the Europa League knock-out playoff on Thursday, and Lukaku is expected to start.

He will become the third-best scorer in the competition if he scores a goal.

Lukaku is on loan at Roma from Chelsea but the Giallorossi don’t have an option to make his move permanent in the summer.
