When Netflix’s One Piece Returns, the Debut of Ms. All Sunday Will Change Everything for Good
With Netflix's One Piece moving forward with Season 2 and the Alabasta saga, the cast of villains entering the show, as well as future Straw Hat members, is getting larger and larger. There are many iconic One Piece villains, with some of the best being Blackbeard, Rob Lucci, Kaido, and Sir Crocodile, who is set to debut in One Piece Season 2 with Joe Manganiello in the role. Crocodile is a fan-favorite villain, but he would not have reached the heights he does in Alabasta if it were not for Baroque Works, his criminal organization made up of powerful Devil Fruit users.
One of the strongest villains in Season 2's Baroque Works is Ms. All Sunday, AKA Nico Robin. Ms. All Sunday is a highly anticipated character, as fans of the manga and anime know that Nico Robin will eventually become a beloved and powerful member of the Straw Hats; although, that will not be until well after Alabasta. Along with that, Nico Robin, as a survivor of Ohara and an archaeologist trying to decipher the Poneglyphs, will reveal the true colors of the World Government and will kick off a new, game-changing mystery for the One Piece live-action, one the manga has yet to answer fully.
Nico Robin Will Introduce Netflix Audiences To A Massive One Piece Mystery
Robin And The Poneglyphs Are Key To One Of The Biggest Mysteries In One Piece
Nico Robin works with Crocodile because they are searching for something similar: a Poneglyph. The Poneglyphs are ancient stones with a mysterious message inscribed on them, a message almost no one can decipher. However, Robin is one of the few people who can read the Poneglyphs, hence why Crocodile has her as one of his top-ranking officers. Crocodile hopes that the Poneglyph hidden in Alabasta will help him find an ancient weapon known as Pluton. Robin, though, is looking for something else.

One Piece Season 2 Is Going to Make the Show More Violent, And Netflix's New Promo Proves It
As Netflix drums up anticipation for its next season of live-action One Piece, fans get an insight into how gruesome it'll be
In the world of One Piece, the Void Century is a 100-year-old period of time that has no recorded history. While more about the Void Century has come to light, like the revelation of a great war that eventually led to the development of the World Government, the context around how and why this war happened is unknown, even to some of the smartest One Piece characters, like Vegapunk and Nico Robin. Ms. All Sunday wants to learn about this missing chapter of history and has ever since she was a little girl.
Along with the Poneglyphs revealing more about the Void Century, they are also key to revealing where Laugh Tale is. This is supposedly the final island of the New World and where Gol D. Rogers hid the titular One Piece. With Luffy and so many others searching for this elusive treasure, the Poneglyphs are key to the plot of One Piece, and Nico Robin will be the character to introduce these mysterious artifacts to the live-action Netflix series.
The World Government Shows Its True Colors When It Comes To Robin
The History Of Ohara Is Telling Of One Piece's World Government
Along with introducing the Poneglyphs to Netflix's One Piece, Nico Robin's introduction to the series will show just how vile the World Government is. Robin is one of the most-wanted women in all of One Piece because she is the survivor of the massacre of Ohara and knows how to read the Poneglyphs. Everyone in Ohara is brutally killed because their historians dared to investigate the Void Century, the ultimate crime in the eyes of the World Government. This genocide is an extreme act of censorship, with the World Government even rewriting the reputation of Ohara in order to justify their unforgivable crimes.
One way they do so is by painting Robin, the only survivor of the massacre, as a demon when she was only a child. From there, she never escapes this reputation and is constantly wanted by the Marines, dead or alive. Along with that, it's clear the World Government does not want anyone to look into how it ascended to power, and given what the World Government, Five Elders, and Imu have done so far to protect themselves, it's a safe assumption that the foundation of this dangerous system is built on even more violence, corruption, and death than currently imaginable.

Don't Be Fooled, One Piece's Female Characters Are Some of the Best In All of Anime
While some of the character designs may turn people off of One Piece, the women of this shonen series are much more than meets the eye.
Robin's backstory and the true history of Ohara reveal just how horrific the World Government is, centering it as one of the biggest antagonists in One Piece. While the Marines have opposed pirates like the Straw Hats before, the World Government is revealed to be so much worse than just this. With Robin joining the Straw Hats and her life threatened by the World Government, it's no surprise that the Straw Hats directly declare the World Government to be their own enemy in Enies Lobby.
While the Straw Hats would have eventually had to directly oppose the World Government given their aspirations for the One Piece, Robin is what lights that fire under them to do so before they even enter the New World. Nico Robin's introduction to One Piecewill change the Netflix series forever. She will usher in a mystery that is still unfolding in the manga, and with this mystery, the lore of One Piece grows exponentially. Along with that, Robin will show the true colors of the World Government to audiences and the Straw Hats, changing the series forever.
