Where To Watch The Simpsons
The Simpsonsis a television landmark and yet there are still people looking for where to watch the beloved animated series. Currently in its 36th season, The Simpsons is one of the longest-running shows in television history and has delivered some of the most famous television moments of all time. The series follows the titular family made up of Homer, Marge, Bart, Lisa, and Maggie. However, with it lasting so long, the ensemble has continued to grow with the countless colorful citizens of Springfield, many of them becoming beloved characters in their own right.
While there are some who say The Simpsons is past its peak and has been for many years, there are still plenty of fans who continue to watch every episode and celebrate it as a hilarious series. However, in the era of streaming, even those old-school fans can revisit the so-called "golden era" with some of the best episodes of The Simpsons available at any time. With Halloween and Christmas episodes also being popular for annual viewing, it is no wonder that so many people are looking for where to watch The Simpsons.
The Humble Beginnings of The Simpsons
The Simpsons Began In 1989
It is a little hard to believe, but The Simpsons has been on the air for 35 years at this point. As unbelievable as such longevity may seem by entertainment standards, it now feels like a staple of television that will never leave. The Simpsons characters are the brainchild of Matt Groening at a suggestion by producer James L. Brooks and made their first appearances as animated sketches on The Tracy Ullman Show in April 1987. Those shorts were adapted into a half-hour series that premiered in December 1989.
The premise of the show has always been situational comedy parodying the American lifestyle with a cast of characters that are both entertaining and in many ways recognizable to viewers. Though definitely cartoonish in appearance, the characters in The Simpsonshave really come to life through the years thanks to wonderful voice characterizations from not only mainstays like Dan Castellaneta and Nancy Cartwright (Bart), but also from an ever-increasing and impressive list of guest stars including Phil Hartman (Troy McClure), Kelsey Grammar (Sideshow Bob), and many others.

The Simpsons Season 36 Is Currently Airing
While the 35 completed seasons of The Simpsons are available to watch right now on Disney+, subscribers to that platform will have to wait a little longer for season 36 episodes. As The Simpsons is not a Disney+ exclusive, they do not add new episodes as they air, instead adding the entire season once it is finished. The Simpsons season 36 is currently airing on Fox and will likely wrap up in Spring 2025.
Season 35 ended in June 2024 and the episodes hit Disney+ in November 2024, indicating the waiting period fans can expect. However, there is still a way to stream the newest episodes of The Simpsons. Season 36 is airing on Fox, but the episodes are also being streamed on Hulu.
