The brewing rivalry between Belinda and Greg has been one of the most interesting aspects of The White Lotus season 3. Ahead of the premiere of the third season of the hit HBO series, fans knew that Belinda would be a major character in The White Lotus season 3. However, seeing Greg in the premiere episode was a complete shock, as he was not previously announced to be part of the season. Both Belinda and Greg starred in the first season of The White Lotus, which was set in Hawaii.

After meeting Tanya in The White Lotus season 1, Greg once again appears in the second season of the series, during which he orchestrates her murder. This means that he is actually the only character to appear in all three seasons of The White Lotus. However, Greg surprisingly has a bigger role in the most recent season of the show. In The White Lotus season 3, Greg goes by the name Gary and has a new wife. However, things are complicated for Greg now that Belinda recognizes him.

Obviously, Belinda believes the best course of action is to notify the authorities. However, before calling the police, she tells Fabian, the manager of the White Lotus' Thailand location. Instead of agreeing with her, Fabian brushes her off and insists that she has nothing to worry about.

Belinda doesn't agree with Fabian's point of view, but she still decides not to call the police. Her decision not to call the police has been raised as a confusing detail and potential plot hole in The White Lotus season 3. As of now, it still has not been addressed why Belinda doesn't want to notify the authorities. Firstly, she is in a foreign country and doesn't really know how the police operate in Thailand. Also, she is technically not on vacation, as she is learning from the employees at the Thailand resort. Therefore, after being immediately dismissed by Fabian, it's possible she doesn't want to cause a big problem that could potentially affect her career.

Belinda doesn't really know what kind of connections Greg has and what he is truly capable of.

Secondly, Belinda is definitely scared of Greg and is fearing for her safety. From her research, she learns that Greg used to work for the United States government and seemingly got away with murder. Additionally, he is obviously very wealthy. Therefore, Belinda doesn't really know what kind of connections Greg has and what he is truly capable of. Even if she provides the police with an anonymous tip, it is easy to see why Belinda would still be scared that Greg would potentially harm her.

Since each season of The White Lotus usually ends with at least one death, it's possible that either Belinda or Greg won't make it out of season 3 alive. In season 3, episode 6, Greg invites Belinda to dinner at his house. It seems like he has a plan to handle the situation, but his motivations are currently unclear. Perhaps Greg will try to kill Belinda or threaten to hurt her son, Zion. On the flip side, Belinda could be the one to kill Greg, getting revenge for the death of her friend Tanya.

Perhaps none of these characters will end up dying in The White Lotus season 3. A new theory suggests that Greg may try to pay Belinda off instead of trying to harm her. Since Tanya never funded Belinda's spa after promising to do so, maybe she will get the money from Greg instead. It's currently unclear what will happen to both Greg and Belinda, but it will be exciting to see where their story goes in The White Lotus season 3.
