Xbox Game Pass Games For April Headlined By GTA 5, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2
The games coming to Xbox Game Pass in the second half of April have been revealed, and there are a lot of big titles coming to the service. The April additions will be headlined by GTA 5 and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 (2022), with several more joining. Xbox Game Pass remains a very popular service, and even with games leaving the service every so often, April's new releases are likely going to appeal to a wide audience.
As revealed by Xbox, the biggest games coming to Xbox Game Pass for the rest of April include GTA 5(available today), Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 (2022), and Neon White. Other titles include SpongeBob SquarePants: The Patrick Star Game, Crime Scene Cleaner, Tempopo, Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, Towerborne, Far Cry 4, Anno 1800, and Dredge. Almost all of these are previously released games, while Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 will be a new day-one release on Game Pass on April 24.

Game Pass has been an immensely popular service, with over 34 million subscribers, and April's lineup is proof of why the service is beloved, as the variety and scope of titles this month are massive. The current generation version of GTA 5 brought a lot of updates to the now 12-year-old title, and with GTA 6 still targeting a release date this year, now may be the perfect time to drop it on Game Pass. With Modern Warfare 3 (2023) and Black Ops 6 already on the service, Modern Warfare 2 (2022) will fit in perfectly.

April 2025 has quite the lineup of games coming to Game Pass. With so much variety & lots of Day One releases, this is going to be the best month yet.
Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 is a new title that will feature a unique turn-based combat system and high-fidelity visuals, as well as an immersive world to explore. Partnered with other big indie hits like Neon White and the critically acclaimed Blue Prince, which was released on Game Pass earlier this month, there is a lot of variety to be found on the service for April.
Still No Word On Classic Call Of Duty On Game Pass
But Could They Get Announced Soon?
There are rumors of remasters of classic Call of Duty games coming to the service later this year as well, but they are not coming this month, and it's still unconfirmed if these supposed remasters are actually in the works. But with two more CoD games being added to the service, it seems like Microsoft could be gearing up for an announcement soon, possibly at Summer Games Fest on June 6 or the upcoming Xbox Games Showcase on June 8.
While it remains to be seen if more CoD games will be added this year, this April line-up is stacked, with seemingly something for everyone. With tons of variety and an upcoming major release in Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, Xbox Game Pass subscribers will have a lot to enjoy in April.
